It looks fantastic! Hopefully the story will be better this time around, it was the only real gripe i had with the first game.
Yeah you dont see it mentioned all too often that every title loses over half its playerbase within the first month. Most people only play games for a little while before they move on.
Same thing with story driven SP games, statistics show on average only about 40% actually play through the whole game. Take Mass Effect 3 for example, 46% finished the game so eventhough there was alot of complaining about the ending most never even saw it.
What i find silly is how critics are hyping Zelda as some shining beacon of game design that the rest of the industry should follow. Meanwhile the game is a joke when compared to modern open world games.
Like go ahead and compare the quest design, world building, writing, voice acting, graphics, combat system etc of games like Witcher 3 and Skyrim to Zelda. Most of Zelda isnt even fucking voiced for christ sake...
Standards are set by the industry as a whole.
Why does nobody mention how barely anything is voiced in Zelda? How the writing is still stuck in the Nintendo 64 era? How the combat is so painfully shallow? How the world is largely empty compared to other open world games? How laughably bad the quests are?
Nintendo gets a pass on everything, not just the graphics.
If only Nintendo and their games were held to the same standard as the rest of the industry...
@ AcidDvl
There is more to games then just shooting things. I spend roughly 90hours on my first playthorugh with ME1. Probably less then 5 of those hours were spend in actual combat and still the game is a classic to me. Hell just recently ive been playing Torment, most of my time was spend reading text lol.
When i read this all i see is some fanboy sitting there drooling over his keyboard.
You can tell devs behind Andromeda looked at ME1 for inspiration, but only for things that fit their vision of delivering a better action game. At least that is what they have shown.
I personally wonder if they have also looked at everything else. ME1 wasnt much of a shooter, it was a very slow game with a very alien like tone/atmosphere.
With british accents :D
Going over how most of the warriors dressed and the kind of weapons they used back then i cant say im all too excited. I was really expecting it to be set in Japan or something.
Oh stop, nobody calls Fallout 3 a survival game. And Borderlands an FPS? It may be first person but i have yet to see anybody put it in the same sentence as BF or COD.
And here i was getting excited for ninjas.....
Copy paste comments much?
See this is the thing about "fans" and why devs tend to ignore them. Its statements like "COD is dead becouse no boots on the ground". Yeah clearly Infinite Warfare has damaged the COD IP forever by being the best selling game of 2016. Oh and im sure all those CEOs are crying themselfs to sleep after pulling in over a billion every year for almost 12 years in a row off COD alone.
If anything they are probably wondering why people are such idiots. They complained C...
ME1 was often times very slow and would focus on tension building, exploration etc instead of shootouts. It drew inspiration from some of the older Sci Fi material, which is for the most part pretty dark. Tone wise the first game had more in common with something like Alien more then the the goofy Star Trek.
Devs behind Andromeda looked at ME1 for inspiration sure, but only for things that fit their vision of delivering a better action game.
We just had one, its called NIOH! All joking aside i would love to see a proper sequel, i used to be a huge fan.
Except its been proven Pro doesnt actually provide any real frame rate boost.
Lets hope there is still plenty for you to do in those areas and they arent filled with pointless collectibles that lead nowhere like they did in Inquisition. Or at least if they are you get rewarded with cool stuff for doing them.
Movies show full frontal nudity all the time. Afcourse you wont see any nudity in that new superhero movie but there is more to film then the handful of pg13 blocksters that come out every year.
At least the swimsuit set is free :D
