This isn't even worth rising to.
Nuff said.
Erm, I haven't read the article yet, what stopped me was the simple maths that 150+170=320. And given the choice, I'd rather have one machine under my tv for an extra 80 that does both. Plus internet and tv and...
Oh, never mind.
You are right on the money there mate, the problem is though most of the people that participate in these verbal wars are too young to have an income, or simply can't afford to buy all the consoles and platforms out there. I, much like yourself, can afford to own a PS3, PSP, DS, Wii and PC and try not to rub noses in that fact.
They are defending a purchase they made with a lot of thought and decision because they can't just go "Hmm, which should I get, this or that... bugger it, ...
The TURDIS! That was a nice little article, this is why we have this technology, to rip the sh*t out of eachother then read about it and laugh. God bless the interweb.
You sir are a gem, never before have I read such solid, utter, unbreakable reliance on a brand. Your attitude is a true testament to the power of advertising, I've never ever seen such faith in a huge, faceless corporation before. Tell me do you have a favorite sports team? Coz if you do, I would NOT like to be around when those guys loose.
Man!
I was gonna throw in some more fanboy stuff but I think this whole thing still has a while to go...
Erm, continue...
I waited for YEARS for someone to invent the pad! When I was a kid I was a god in the arcades, put the same game into a C64 or Specy using keys an' it was clown-shoes time for me. I'd have given up a long time ago if it weren't for the control pad.
The concave design of the 360 is what keeps the main processor close to the other warm bits right? So if this was redesigned so most of the hot stuff happened in a big ol' power pack, detached and outta the way then the over heating thing should stop right?
If they can get it right a second time then I'd definitely consider getting one, the unreliability of the 360's what's kept me from getting one so if this problem was to disappear then...
The reason Xbox owners defend their console with so much passion is because of the net rent they have to pay for live. It's the equivalent of me coming round' to your house and going "well, this place is sh*t!"
I mean, if I were paying for a service on a yearly basis I'd want it to be the best. A PS3 owner gets all that stuff for free so if it's a pile of pants then it don't matter coz they ain't lost nothing.
Simple solution: Get both systems... then a Wii.
I have a problem with, it's the extras they get in Home. I've been offline for about two weeks (PS3) and now I'm back I see we have another place to stand in line and a grotty train station to hang about. If I wanted to hang about a sh*t train station, I'd go down the road. At least the trains move there!!!
How'd it go? Is your PS3 dead yet? I'm re-downloading all the stuff form the inter-web just now so I've not tried yet.
As it happens, my PS3's just been swapped (for free) for a new one (60G launch) and I've just been on the blower to Sony and asked about this problem and the tech-help guy said they'd not heard of anything like that so far today. I've just finished the new update and everything seems peachy, so, I don't think this is a wide spread problem.
How old are you exactly? Coz last time I checked, a failure was Ocean. Do you know who they are? If not, just fill that cake hole with more snacks eh. 'Brand slaves' coming from an xbot, I'm laughing.
You hit the nail on the head there on 24.1, although advertising is a good way of getting your product to the masses, I think everything in moderation is the best policy sometimes.
Are you sure it'll get ported over? Even if it does I doubt there will be many left to soak it up, unless it cost a lot less. I'm not 100% on it's total content, so maybe $20 is fair but in a year's time, really, who will care?
This is GREAT! It's like some zoo animals arguing over scraps of dead meat! FIGHT, FIGHT, FIGHT!
He, he, hee.
I feel like a p!ss in the ocean writing this comment but here goes,
The last time I heard of a single game having the impact this person expects from KZ2 was back when GTA3 hit the PS2. KZ may look good but it's not the ground breaker people think it'll be. It's not the second coming and it's not GTA3, it's just another shooter with extraordinary graphics! So please, stop looking for failure in the PS3 and just accept that it has a game that's generated a lot of interest which will pr...
I have to say, after reading the preview for this it sounds pretty good. Not a good asking price but it sounds fun seeing how things intertwine, in a Fido from GTA3 in San Andreas kinda way. Sadly not enough for me to care too much though and I'm one of the biggest GTA fans out there, I didn't get the 60's london add on for the first one on PC either and sorta view this along the same lines. If it were cheaper however...
Are you sure about this? I don't know much about attach rates on software but it seems to me most people have sold their copy of GTA4 and moved on, to assume this DLC will be one of the biggest selling things is a bit of a gamble. Most of the comments here suggest that people see this as a way of conning us out of a little extra dosh, I'm not saying it will fail miserably but I don't think it will have the impact you expect.
Oh, and what the hell does KZ have to do with this conversati...
I'd love to have a few arcades in my empty, souless apartment right now. I'd like them to get a move on with doing the picture frames, music and tv applications as well. It would be so cool to have some of my own videos running on a tv in my virtual flat, and being able to play my tunes in it too would also rock!
