This really sucks, but all the guys saying there are no games being released for the PSP don't know what they're talking about. Just look at the PS Store. There may not be as many games being released for the PSP as the DS, but the quality of the games blows those released on other hand-held platforms out of the water.
ME2 is a TPS with RPG elements. ME1 would've been a better comparison and there already is a fighting genre so I think SSF4 would fall into that category, not the action one.
As much as I love the Genesis and Dreamcast, I'm against another major competitor in the gaming industry. We already have the PS3, Xbox360, Wii, and PC keeping us gamers busy. If they did release another console I'd definitely buy it, but the smartest thing Sega could do right now is focus on the software they're putting out. Some of their franchises have been going downhill.
Uh...Still not interested in motion controls.
I lost count of how many games I wouldn't purchase simply because they used a really shitty DRM system. I'm glad CD Projekt RED aren't as dumb as publishers like Ubisoft when it comes to things like this.
I wonder if they also have pictures of Osama and a Saddam clone.
What are you talking about that part was in the game. It kinda sucked though because the controls for that part were all jacked up.
"my point is this unless the growth of piracy is stopped PC gaming will.....well not die, but will only consist of MMO's and a few very hardcore games. This new DRM measure are publisher trying to keep PC a viable platform"
Piracy is also rampant on the PSP, DS, and Xbox360 so I don't really see this as being true.
Socom 4 and GT5 aren't casual games.
Article of the day imo. That Dreamcast analogy was the best.
The amount of people condemning this game before even playing or even seeing footage of gameplay or cutscenes is amazing. I'm still a young buck but back when I was a little brat running around causing ruckus, me and my friends never considered a game a failure before playing it. Gamers these days seem to only focus on the negative and think like critics.
Funny, if this were an exclusive for one of the consoles people would be screaming "wait for the final product, wait for the final product!" but because it's multiplat people are judging this vid as if it actually is the final product.
All these sales comparisons just seem like a "my dick is bigger than yours" contest to me.
No comment. I love playing Halo, but this article is pure flamebait and I can already see both sides fighting for the bait.
Yeah, but it was also released for the PC.
Red Faction 2 and the Timesplitter series have to be the most overlooked, under-rated FPSs on consoles.
Isn't Half-Life 2 included in the Orange Box, which was released on the consoles?
I bought my copy of Dissidia so I'm not one of the contributers. I'll also buy my copy of Phantasy Star Portable 2 when it's released in the west. PSP games are high enough quality that they shouldn't be downloaded. I can't really say the same for the DS though. There are plenty of great games on the DS but the amount of shovelware released for it is astounding.
@tdrules: Obviously PSP gaming isn't dying if 5.2 million people downloaded the game. Hi...
Your point is moot seeing as how I can easily hook my ASUS G50vt laptop up to my 50" and watch porn.
I'm not out to spite anybody. If fighting games are a sub-genre of action then so are hack-n-slash, shooters, adventure games with any type of combat, shootem ups, RTS, etc, etc. It would defeat the purpose of having multiple genres. And that part about people in the media and abroad considering those games as RPGs doesn't actually make them RPGs. Most people in the world think dolphins are a species of fish but they aren't so the opinions of the massed can't really be used as...
