Cole should be nnumber one on the list and they should take off the Prince. I didn't really like the Sands of Time because I thought the atmosphere of the game wasn't mature enough but they fixed that when they released Warrior Within.
Here's another example: because the devs at Bioware listened to all the shooter fans that were complaining about ME1, ME2 was made into a TPS with RPG elements instead of being an RPG/TPS hybrid like it was suppose to be.
I'm really looking forward to the next PSP. My psp-2000 still gets plenty of play though so I don't have a problem with Sony taking their time with the development of the PSP2.
I think he was talking software wise.
Shouldn't be too hard to improve on Fallout 3. It was a fun game, but it definitely has it's flaws. I think someone already mentioned some of them above. People can say what they will but I always liked Obsidian, even if they just take over franchises that other people have started. I loved both NWN2 and KOTOR2. Treyarch has taken IW place in the gaming industry and that's all I'm going to say about that.
I didn't have a problem with the change of setting, but now we get a new cole with a new voice actor? wtf? What's the point of changing something that little to no people have a problem with?
I actually like the Dreamcast and Xbox controllers, well the small version of the original xbox controller. Dualshock controllers are my favorite for most games, xbox360 controller is great for shooters, and ofcourse you gotta love the mouse and keyboard combo.
Not a big fan of Alan Wake personally. The gameplay is interesting, but the story and visuals are meh imo. The setting kind of bothered me too. I usually don't have problems with "dark" games but this one just didn't win me over. It's weird because I actually liked Jericho and Condemned 2.
It's funny. So many people slammed the hell out of that movie, but I watched it one day and actually enjoyed it.
It's funny, only three of the games you mentioned are FPSs and yet some guy said those are the only games we PC gamers care about. Shows how much he knows. Shooters do shine on the PC, but so do MMOs, WRPGs, RTSs, Simulation games, and Indie games.
I personally don't really care for remakes. Unless they keep the same music and leave out voice overs, games like FF7 and Legend of the Dragoon will only lose some of their original charm if they're remade. It would be like remaking the Mona Lisa.
I'm tired of all these movies being made of video games. I love Dragon Age, but I'm really not jumping for joy over this announcement.
If the Wii was in HD and these hardcore games didn't use motion control they'd probably do much better sales wise, but even so they are still great games the way they are now.
Not trying to troll, but online gaming has been big on the PC since last gen and some may say even the gen before that. It may have "blossomed" on consoles this gen though.
Too bad this isn't on PC because then someone would release a mod to get rid of this new Cole and make the old model usable. j/k
I'm looking definitely looking forward to playing this, but Coles new model really annoys the hell out of me. Hopefully evil Cole looks better. There's was nothing wrong with the badass, bald, space marine look. The tatts are nice though.
Since win was E3 an official competition?
There was a reason for Snake being old in MGS4. It was a major part of the story but this change is completely meaningless, but I'm sure somebody will try to spin it and make it seem like it was a necessary change.
I know what point he was trying to make, I was just throwing in my 2 cents. Mario has been around so long that even if it becomes stale there are plenty of people who would still buy games with his name in the title for the simple fact that it's what they know. Some people grew up with Mario and they'll keep playing the games until Nintendo stops making them, which we know will never happen unless some catashrophe happens.
Old Cole >>> New Cole.
*sigh*... devs trying to cater to the masses again. This is starting to get old.
Ubisoft has studios all over the world so I don't think it's fair to mention them and just an FYI, but Europe is considered part of the west.
