It wasn't amazing, it was a large list of third party titles, then some Sony first party and VR videos.
I wasn't wowed, I was left feeling a tad confused..were all these games exclusive?
Then I saw the Microsoft article saying "these games are also on Xbox"
Sony tried pulling the wool over our eyes, doing an Apple sort of marketing, acting like no one else exists, showing off all content that'll also be on the Xbox...
I had this feeling a lot shown in the Sony video wasn't exclusive, seems odd to show case 3rd party titles like that. Gives a false impression that these were exclusive or timed exclusive. Felt like the wool was being pulled over my eyes at times.
It looked like a walk in the bush simulator when they first announced it.
Hopefully this has better dialogue then the first. That was such a cheese fest it was rather awkward. I found the gameplay somewhat satisfying, but could've been better.
It's a great example of Sony not knowing the market. With things like the steam deck out there. Why would someone buy a dedicated remote play device, especially when you can do it with a phone..
I found it a little bland. Nothing really stood out for me.
Also the Sony remote play device looks like Sony does not understand the market. Why release a dedicated remote play device in today's day and age...especially when you can remote play to a phone.
Or upgrade a link to the past to 3D.
This is one of those art pieces where it's done well as a video game or just as good as a movie. A lot of heart and soul went into making it an emotional journey.
I've only played an hour or two so far, and it's a fairly cool looking game. Has loads of the magic you'd expect from this wizard world. I'm glad it's done well, as it's great to have other solid franchises out there. Plus it's not often you get a movie to game (and vice versa) adaption that isn't half arsed.
Let's hope they don't rush any future installments to make a quick buck.
I tried this recently on the steam deck and found the camera and driving so floaty that I had to refund my copy as it was not fun.
I remember trying it years ago and the whole dating aspect became a chore that I hadn't gotten far into it.
So for me. I've not experienced the true length of gta4. But I have no drive to do so.
I always welcome more games on different platforms. I'm surprised Sony were really slow to the party on this one.
That would be pretty insane if they do. But I would be skeptical. As they wouldn't make much profit on software sales unless they use their own store. The steam deck doesn't make Valve money on the hardware, so I do not see Asus selling it for a low price. But there is hope.
The link you sent me the youtuber says "you can't match the $400 bucks the steam deck sells for." Then he goes on to suggest he feels $600 would be ideal.
But ...
I was confused why neither of the two YouTubers mentioned cost. But it's probably like you said it even more. The steam deck is a great handheld as it does the job for a good gamble of a price. Would I pay 1000+ for the same thing? Probably not, I'd wait it out.
I fully agree. I got bored 15 or so hours in. The dialogue was terrible that I wanted to skip every cut scene
I didn't find much excitement in the 2 betas. The game was rather slow with a low amount of mobs. So the chaos and traversing the world felt more like a chore.
Shame Sony have put a poor studio on this port. It shows they are out of touch, such big I.p's deserve more quality or it'll push Sony back on the PC front.
I didn't say don't break the law, but shouting about it is the key phrase that should be looked at.
Nintendo knows it happens but giving away how to find it doesn't help anyone but Nintendo in the end run.
Yeah. Break the law and shout about it...
Go for it. I'm always up for seeing new horror games. Especially the medium, it was a cool idea but ruined by a few faults. The split screen aspect was better on paper and rubbish in practice. But the idea of the game as a whole was a good play through.
Being the guys who will remake sh2, this will show a lot. I'd love to see a remake of the 3rd game, hopefully they make a good base for 2. That they can work on 3 afterwards.
I don't think it's worth the investment even if it works over 5g. Most of us have great smart phones, buy a controller clip and do the exact same.
I'd rather buy a steam deck than a display glued to a controller that may not do anything else outside of streaming my console
