Sadly I've not caught the hype bug with this one. Hopefully it'll be good and not a let down like a lot of over hyped titles.

I disagree those games were rubbish. Stupid story lines and the 2nd one was just pathetic. Felt poor in quality and was just made for the sake off it. Not as bad as re6 but they aren't great survive horror games. I can't call them true re games either as when the 4th came out the series isn't what it used to be.

I don't remember feeling any of these when I first saw it. Maybe Silly, and pointless.

I skipped launch and felt thisll be like the first so I held off.
Got it about a month ago and it's so much better than the first. Only issue is end game gearing feels poor. Could spend days getting nothing worth upgrading and having many different sets makes it more frustrating. But the game in its self is pretty solid.
So re4 would've been first if the 2nd remake wasn't made.
I dislike it when these lists come out and pick re4 as their best Re game. You usually can tell these people played 4 first and never touched 1, 2,3 and the other games before 4 released.
Re2 was ground breaking for its time and started a solid genre of horror games. 4 changed that but it did not feel like a resident evil game at all.

It's a remaster. As it's a copy of the game cube game.
It wasn't made from the ground up for the switch, it was ported of an old title and had a few tweaks (resolutions, detail etc). Making it a remaster and not a remake.
If it came out for the switch only and not on the game cube years ago, it'll be called a remake.
It was a remake in 2002, any time after that if it was re-released with improved assets it's a remaster.

Unsure what the video source was (looked like Spiderman?).
But just feel those full stops on the PS4 pro footage may of been edited in, so you can see the need to upgrade.
I'd wait a little longer to see more truth in the footage. But I do hope this is actual footage of what we are getting as a product.
But it's a crap game. I played a good few hours during that Xbox glitch where it was free. I took my console offline and still ended up deleting the game.
Then I got it cheap for PS4 pro, played about 10 hours and deleted my game then sold it.
The game is garbage. The hipster approach to what hackers are like annoyed the hell out off me.
I just couldn't take the game seriously.

I'd rather 4k 60fps and 4k 30 fps with more detail/high graphic settings.
10800 to 4k was a small upgrade. So 4k to 8k be another hype that'll fall just as flat. Guess Sony wants to push 8k on the console as their gonna release 8k TVs.

Barret's voice sounded fake. Like someone was trying too hard. If they used a more natural voice actor it would've come across more pleasing.
The teaser looked promising and the voice acting was the main thing that caught my attention.

Knowing square enix, it'll be re-released on every platform known to man for the next 20 years.
Unsure on the combat. Need to see a proper video on it. But so far, if its hack and slash style I could get on with it. If it's like ff15 then pass.
Barratts voice actor is a no, it's like someone trying to put on a tough voice and sounds like their trying to hard. You need a voice that just souds naturally tough.
Game looks impressive and looks more serious toned as a story (good looking cut scenes).
More ports but at s reasonable price. Ffx an 12 are £40 for old games. They should be around £25, maybe pushing £30. A joke of a price.

I actually played this the other month and quit not far from the end.
It's alright, but very repetitive.
Found parts of the game really out dated, especially the loot/gear. You just buy new pieces from vendors. How boring is that.
I played assiassins creed origins before this, and found that I wished the few basic ideas were in both. Random dropped gear would've made horizon more enjoyable.

Also switch online is as cheap as £3.50/Year.
Find someone who done a family group and buy a slot. Also it was free for a year with twitch prime (Amazon prime).
I wouldn't pay full price as it's junk though.
