I have to go with DDR. This game was played by everyone and I mean EVERYONE while the trend was there. At first there was no playing and hiding the fact that you played this game, because the only way to play it was at the Arcade. So it had to be played in public and nobody cared that is the sign of a great game. DDR started it all, Guitar Hero mainstreamed it and now Rock Band is taking it beyond what was ever expected from this genre.
When it comes to delays of first party titles nobody is as guilty as Nintendo. But I have yet to say that Ninty didn't know what it was doing. For all the Mario, Zelda, Metroid games that get delayed, they have all come out being quality, fun games. If it gets delayed it gets delayed, at the end its gonna be one of the best games the Wii will see.

that video has been taken way out of context for the longest time. If you notice whenever they bring up that in-game XMB there is only 3 options. Turn off console, quit game and turn off controller. Those are the same three options you get when holding down the middle PS button of the controller all they did was change the way those options are presented. In game XMB was never implemented, even in the early stages of the PS3's life.

Kojima looks the be finishing off his legacy with this title. Everything and I mean EVERYTHING about this title has me hyped. Hopefully they will release an extra special edition for the fans, can you imagine a collectors edition with the entire history of Metal Gear and Metal Gear Solid is included in one box??? That would be the biggest collectors item in the history of gaming.

I stopped reading right there. We get enough flamebait articles comparing finished games with Unfinished games, no point in wasting my time reading another one.
Why pay $40+ for porn on a disc when there are plenty of website that give a better selection of it for about $30 month. that might sound steep but most websites give you access to about 10 sites with unlimited downloads. For the porno creep that is a much better deal then shelling out $40+ for one movie.
the only time my PS3 seems to sound like a jet engine is when running Folding@home. I guess its cause the processor is really heavily worked during the insane number crunching that is Folding@home. But that is the only time I hear more then a whisper off my Blackbox.
The Sony haters are at it again I see. For the time being a, physical storage medium is needed and with all the good news and events it looks like blu-ray will be that medium. With the average internet DL speed of 768k it will be awhile before downloading a movie is as easy as driving down to your local best buy, target or wal-mart. Not to mention the sheer notion of downloading a movie is to new for some of the older generation to even consider being worth it. Plus I don't buy the whole up...

This is a great idea but like so many other ideas of this nature, many pirates find a way around it and start flooding the market with boot-legs and thats where the DRM and Copyrights start causing headaches for us.
Leagally we (the consumer) can make as many copies as we want for our personal use, but we are not allowed by law to sell or distribute the copies in any way (this includes loaning the copy to a friend). In the end this is exactly what if gonna happen and we'll see ...

a developer who is working on a supposed PS3 exclusive is looking for a lead animator who has experience on both the PS3 and Xbox360.

They included a HDD standard, there for allowing for an easier development since data didn't have to stream directly from the Disc.
They were the first to make Console Online play a must.
and also they were the first American company since the 80's to have a successful console.
They did I bunch of right things with the first Xbox, only to sh!t it all away with the 360.
Spore, Starcraft 2, World of Warcraft, Company of Heros, plus many more.
