Since when do people care about a story on a FPS. HALO series by far one of the weakest stories ever (Just the game and not the books, the books ROCK) but people still flock to buy it.
lack of Standard HDD. MS refuses to let devs create a game that needs a HDD to run. 360 devs have to make a game for both the HDD sku and non-HDD sku. You gotta believe that a game like Crysis uses HDD caching throughout the entire game and not having that option is asking for to much from the DVD drive.

technically speaking MGS did start on the PS brand, cause all games before that point were just Metal Gear. The story for solid snake didn't start until the MGS series. From what I remember reading Solid Snake is a clone of the real snake (who is the star of the Metal Gear series). Therefore MGS did start on the Playstation.

During production phase Konami or any other dev will have a team testing the Basic core of the entire game such as Gameplay, level design, A.I. and whatever else is implemented into the game.
