I've been playing the Japanese Demo for close to a year now and despite the game not looking that great compared to more recent titles, it still looks nice and the new swing mode provides a great challenge for those who are tired of the three click power meter. Overall not as real as Tiger woods but I think Hotshots provides more replay value.
Definitely a first day or first week game for me.

I like Achievements that are found with the Live games as this adds to the replay value you get for your $6-$10. But I found that in some of the mainstream titles they seemed tacked on and not really worth getting unless they add to the experience itself and for the most part it does not.
This is one of Sony's titles that gets overlooked on so many occasions.
07' was a great game, only problem is it was hampered with about 3 big bugs that would just take away any fun that was had up till that point.
But other then that it was far ahead of what 2k put out last year and will most likely be the homerun king for the 08' season.
Mobile earnings shouldn't really surprise anyone since they bought Jamdat a few years back. Which essentially was like buying first place in that market. This is what EA does they milk whatever they can for as long as they can and we in return get 1 killer game from them every 2-3 years if we're lucky.
I gotta disagree with you. The landscape of videogames today was set by nintendo and the game Miyamoto created. While his design is getting rather old his place in videogame history should never be taken for granted.
