Why is it that NPD is all that matters? from my understanding the numbers they gather do not include wal-mart. How are those any more accurate then those by VGcharts? If you gather numbers but do not have the sales number for arguably the biggest store franchise in the U.S. how can those be called accurate? just like VG, NPD is an estimated guess. The only time we get pretty accurate numbers are during E3, Leipzig and TGS when the big 3 talk sales figures.

On a related note, if only by name. Check out the ODST mini-movie. I believe its on Spike tonight. I'm not a Halo fan but the preview for the movie looked sweet. Just thought people should know.

Contracts these days can have plenty of loopholes. DLC may remain exclusive but MS or WB can always release these in say a "Demo" disc or "update" disc or somesort of format other than DLC.

But Nintendo is going after a different crowd then the "Hardcore" all games that have targeted that demographics on the wii have failed.
Mad World, The conduit, No More Heros have all met with mediocre sales.
The only reason why we still buy Nintendo anything is for Mario, Zelda, Metriod and other first party titles. For the same reason "Kiddie" games sell poor on the PS3 or 360 is the same reason for hardcore failures on the Wii, different market, different t...

Yes.

EX: The time travelers wife is the worst movie ever. I haven't seen it but from the previews I can tell its a stinker.

Same with games. A game can start of really good then just go to crap. If these reviewers are not going to play to whole way through why not just "review" the game once a demo is released.

I love the NES but I think the SNES or PS1 should've got the top spot. The NES brought back videogames from the dead but depending on your preference of game type the SNES or PS1 laid the ground work for all modern games as we know them today. Plus why not have the PC,Yeah I know computer, but with Sony touted the PS3 as a Computer system and being on the list why not have the PC on here. The NES was to easy of a choice to make, while it does hold classic games they are merely the foundation...

Yes I know they used the IW engine but on an insider note they didn't even have access to base for that engine. Treyarch had to engineer their code to work on that engine not to mention they had to make textures and shaders for many things not found in MW1 such as large bodies of water and a large amount of trees and folage. Not to mention they also had to figure out and engineer now AI animations for tree climbing and other WAW specific animations. While those may seem like small task they a...

Took them 4 years to implement a capture the flag mode in their game and now they are doing magazine extensions. Funny Treyarch only had two years had both these options already implemented and added a zombie mode. Yet everybody disses treyarch for no good reason other than they are not IW.

I would think it would since the PS3 slim is sold out. Kind've hard to sell something that was already sold out before it even released.

Like most games that get a lot of hype, Megan Fox is overrated. Don't see what so special about her.

Yeah, because I go into a purchase of a car not knowing the other cost that purchase comes with, right? You're the idiot. If I were to buy a Car or House, I go into the purchase knowing that I have to take care of the maintenance for that purchase. Bills, gas and in case anything goes wrong I know I am responsible for those cost. When I buy a $60 dollar game I don't expect to be charged $4 for costumes, $5 for a Vs. mode, $4 for a "Special" character, $2 to unlock a car and so on. T...

just don't buy it. It's really that simple business runs on numbers, if you pirate a PC or 360 game and it goes undetected and you manage to play that game online it's still a plus 1 for Activision because you are playing the game. IF you don't play they will have to start taking gamers and the general consumer more seriously and stop playing us as suckers. I on the other hand will most likely pass this game up, there are other games coming out at around the same time from dev's I respect a l...

Cause you suckers pay for it. I have yet to pay for any DLC for any game that I own. Don't care how much I love the game if the developer has the nerve to charge me more than the $60 I already paid for the game then I have the nerve to stop playing the game. Unless the DLC falls into the "expansion" category which adds actual gameplay by adding side missions and more story like say the Ratchet and clank or GTA 4 DLC packs then yeah I will pay more money. But 3 to 4 new maps or outfi...

"We agree with President Obama that it's a time for families to work together so that kids use media in ways that are safe, healthy and balanced. Xbox 360 is the only console gaming system that has a timer feature allowing parents to set time limits for their kids, as well as parent controls to enable parents to set limits on what their kids are playing and watching."

MS's reply is strange to me, cause their response is exactly whats wrong with today's parents. Parent...

This game is awesome, its extremely balanced and requires you to jump on your opponent in order to win. If you attempt to cheese it for a victory you will lose a lot.

I wasn't implying that movies like the dark knight don't make any money past the first month, but 10 years ago a movie like that dark knight would be in theaters for at least 6 months and wouldn't see a home release until maybe a year to a year and a half after it's big screen release.

If I'm not mistaken the last movie to see prolonged profit numbers in theaters was "Titanic". As of late most huge blockbusters have at most 1 to 2 months in the center screen of a theat...
