As a PS3 owner and main console gamer the issues are not the same. valve deciding not to support the PS3 does not change the community for the PS3 it doesn't change anything about the PS3 it only gives us 1 less game to play but the overall community for the PS3 remains untouched and the same.
In this case IW is changing what the PC community has been known for at least 15 years. A P2P only online game is not common ground for the PC community, and the move is not for the better...
Was going to buy it for PC since I can get it on the hook up but at this point no. When I played CoD4 their were about 3 servers I would regular because they offered the best experience for me, but without dedicated servers there will be no point. All these whiners, why not DLC? Because they are changing actual code to the frame of this game, that cannot be patched. Also Since when does DLC not break-up the user base of a game. I used to play CoD4, Warhawk, and Killzone 2, but DLC got released and then you had users who had DLC and those that didn't. This case is different if you have SF4 you can still play SF4 with your friends, if you have SSF4 you can play that with your friends. It's no different from swapping disc when playing MW1...

I dont think this is about wanting to see a hero game fail as much as it is wanting something different. If we as consumers allow the publishers to keep making the same game with slight tweaks and buy them thats all we'll ever get from them. We need to speak with our greenbacks that we will not accept the same repackaged game every six months. I have nothing against the Hero series as they are pretty amusing but to have at least 30 titles on all platform of a series that is less then 10 years...
great score, great review, but I'm going to have to call a little BS. One of the cons is "you need a HDD for the full experience". Then how is this a 5/5. The only thing that should be required to get the full experience from a print full release copy of the game is a 360. If there are user out there whose experience is being hampered because they don't have a HDD this game should not get a perfect score. That is a major con against it in my book.

I ran into the same issue with Killzone 2. I would play it at work on the work PS3 and then try to copy it so I can bring it home. didn't work, which sucks cause thats the way I got through MGS 4 if it weren't for saved games I never would've finished that game, that year work was really busy and I would play during all my breaks. Back before the launch of the PS3 Afrika was way hyped even though nobody knew anything about it other then those damn animal looked insanely good for a Videogame. The hype did die down after the PS3 started building up a great library of games, but definitely Afrika hyped.

I feel uninspired to get this game. I have seen video of it and it just doesn't wow me. All the upgrades to the MP scream expansion pack. It doesn't seem like an overall better experience maybe different but not better. I think the SP will be where the meat and potatoes will be for me since I really enjoyed the campaign in MW1 but the MP just seems MEH!.
But what are you comparing the browser to? The 360 doesn't have one, the wii doesn't have one. the PS3 browser is the same browser used on most SE cellphones, just modified for the PS3. but the one that comes to mind is the lagger. Playing a ton SF4 I see this alot. I'll be in the lobby it will show a connection of 4-5 bars. Match starts as soon as the host (its rare when I host) gets a life lead, he either starts a DL or flips a switch cause the games latency goes to sh!t. Usually it will stay that way until the end or until you can deal with it. Host panics makes the game good again just in time to get his a$$ whooping in real-time.
