YAY! I thought I was going to come on here and get ripped for saying it, but I also like the dark tone and characters from the first. I think Aiden was a little weak but I think they intended to never have the player really root for him. I thought the second game was good (especially mechanically) but the characters felt like check boxes that they crossed and tried too hard to be the opposite of the first for me.
I wonder how it would rate among a group of huge rpg fans. Rpg's are my favorite genre and Skyrim is good but there are many better. I feel like Skyrim is the answer for most casual fans who don't play many rpgs. Skyrim is to rpgs as Call of Duty is to FPS. They are technically fantastic but there are plenty of games with more heart in their genres.

Idk I kind of agree with the idea. I'm more excited about days gone or the new god of war but I also know sony can sell a buttload of units just partnering with the big third party games like red dead or destiny 2. Plus just like this year sony would be the talk of the first half of 2018.

I mean skyward sword has a 93 and that game blows. Game reviewers can't block out nostalgia when it comes to Zelda games. They're good but remove the names and reskin some things and it would lose 5-10 metacritic points easily. Just my opinion. It's possible that I just don't get something when ot comes to those games though.
Seems like pretty much everyone here agrees. The Witcher has such a great advantage in adapting fantastic characters from novels. I absolutely love the character in the witcher 3, it's my favorite game of all time. But horizon still has a great mainline story and probably more compelling gameplay and those robots are just amazing. I think they both have a lot to learn from each other!
Yeah I agree man. Early game I was questioning if I might even like it more than the souls games (have the platinum trophy in every one including bloodborne) but by the time I got to Nioh's late game, like the last 4-5 bosses It felt really repetitive and predictable. Yeah any other dev we would probably be disappointed that the story seems to be convoluted. Yet with a kojima game it eases my worries. The last thing I want from kojima is a simple beginning, middle, end spoonfed narrative. I love how he tries to blow our mind with complexity even if it doesn't always make realistic sense.
Agreed, most likely March, just like every other mainline God of War game. March is the God of Wars month guys. They aren't going to fuck up that cool pattern they started now.
Honestly, I used to think Pewdiepie was as fake and idiotic as they come based on the tidbits of content i've seen, but very recently I watched a few of his videos and became a fan. Dude has changed a lot and speaks out about the fake nature of what he used to do and what others still do. After I put my jealousy to the side, I respect the guy quite a bit.
I've platinumed every souls game and bloodborne, consider myself a superfan, but will STILL tell you Nioh is stellar. Don't know what your problem is but there is room for more of these type of games, especially if they turn out to be this good. FROM is gonna step up their game even more for their next title.
Yeah, I have the platinum trophy is all souls games and bloodborne. I'm kind of a fanboy. But Nioh is fucking awesome. 80 percent of the game is a blatant copy but the 20 percent that has team ninja flair makes it 100 percent fantastic. Not saying better than FromSoft but just as rad in their own way.
I think the new income revenue from PS Plus has made all of the difference for sony. In the pre-plus ps3 era it seemed like Sony just wasn't finding the funds to market the way they needed to and I have a feeling that as soon as they saw this huge amount of subscription money coming they felt more comfortable doing what microsoft was doing by marketing their games and console like crazy. I think they advertise even more than microsoft now from what I see.
If we're talking about this from an analylitical business model point of view which we are in this article it is most definitely a wii u console replacement. Nintendo has said so and stopped production of the wii u while they are still selling and making games for the 3ds. We also have only seen console style games for this. This question will be answered with time. It's interesting, the way I see it is we all tend to have a primary way to play weather it's PC, Ps4, or Xbox. Most people don't go to Nintendo for a primary console because of bad third party support. That, combined with a high price and not a ton of first party games typically makes their console low on the list of a typical gamers priorities.(I finally got a wii U by going halfsies with my roommate for smash and MK)
