I was mostly impressed. I was a bit disappointed by Zelda. Hopefully it really does play better than they were able to demonstrate.
But hey, it's Kinect ready.
It's like a Nintendo 3DS but 12 times better.
Think about it.
They can't change trophies. They will likely increase the rate at which you gain XP though, both race and create.
Those trophies just assume everyone will have something downloaded like 50000 times and that's ridiculous; At least the way things are set up.
Actually he made it quite clear he would be there. Read his blog. http://davidjaffe.biz/
That was a cringe worthy conference. By the end the applause was labored and awkward. They had nothing worth showing that we hadn't already seen.
I'd jump in on that.
According to Media Molecule, Sony has put Sony Santa Monica's MLAA code in it's SDK. They also said it implements with minimal effort. It's likely filtering down to all PS3 developers. Expect to see it widely used from now on.
How can it hurt? Nothing's stopping me from playing Super Stardust now that it's been 3D enabled. Games will still be playable in 2D. They will likely even be higher fidelity in 2D. 3D might just be a more compelling experience, even if only some of the time.
Actually speaking of Super Stardust, I redownloaded it and it kind of seems different.. cooler. Like some things were changed to take advantage of that sense of depth that 3D would provide if I could enable it. M...
I gotta say I'm definitely interested in playing a game like SOCOM with a controller like that. The control will have to be very precise and smooth though. We'll see what people say when they get lots of hands on it next week.
It sure did. Though it will likely be intimidating to the more casual among music game fans.
I don't mean a CHEAPER unit via a smaller HDD.
I just mean they can bring out a 60GB or 80GB of the slim and call it a different unit with a lower MSRP without saying it's a "Price Drop". They'll take a hit on the profit side of things, but continue to push a larger number of units.
I have a cheap coffee table that I abuse for this purpose.
Probably another price drop via a smaller HDD
We're all buying games that suit our differing tastes because there's such a staggering variety.
Want to quantify variety? FFXIII, God of War III, Heavy Rain, Mega Man 10, Monkey Island SE, 3D Dot Game Heroes, ModNation, Joe Danger. That's just in the last couple months. (Notice the lack of cookie-cutter FPS) I haven't even picked up RDR yet, which I plan to do when I take a week off next month.
Also Peace Walker, which I'm waiting until...
That's because they don't know what they're purchasing yet. They need to see the games. The real games. Not to mention the cost.
Why don't you find out what the purchase intent is for Respawns next property and see if any stark similarities emerge? Or even Agent for that matter.
All 3D standards require HDMI, which is not standard in 360, so I really don't know.
Don't panic just yet. Let's see what happens then judge. Killzone 3 is looking pretty sh!t hot and it's 3D capable.
3D?
Insomniac did say their games will be getting longer development cycles. They're probably not releasing anything this year. So they have nothing yet to show.
