I'm impressed.
I don't really notice any difference.
I can't wait to see how many hypocritical Activision and Treyarch bashers are going to line up for the midnight launch.
Kotick is their pimp.
Typical Square Talk: "We don't know what we're doing, so take what you get. We know you won't like it, but you can't prove no one else does."
I think people are getting the wrong impression about Create. Although it's inspiration is pretty clearly derived from LBP, it's more of a puzzler than anything else; More like Crayon Physics Deluxe.
I think it's going a bit far to call a LittleBigPlanet "clone" because the gameplay is entirely different.
Online trophies certainly don't bother me as much as online achievements, knowing it's just a matter of going online and playing. But the style of online trophies/achievements is also annoying. Grinding crap over and over.. boooring.
If you're going to have online trophies then keep them attainable. Do this thing ONCE. Do that thing ONCE. Win at this mode ONCE. Win at that mode ONCE. Be the highest scorer in a SINGLE match.. etc.
Hate to break it to ya Bungie, but it alway costs money.
That selfish A-Hole
Bubble for a chuckle
Sure I played it. I own it. Bought it the day it was released.
It's a good game, but really flawed and not just technically. In terms of gameplay it is a shameless God of War clone.
Just as Ninja Theory recently claimed in regard to Enslaved, Story is more important than gameplay. An assessment I just cannot get behind. There are numerous mediums in which to tell a story. There is only one medium in which to focus on gameplay.
UMDs are easier to pirate than PSN downloads. I can rip a UMD in 2 minutes and put it online. I rip every UMD I buy in fact. You have to circumvent the license software with downloads, which I'm sure is easy enough for some people, but certainly not as easy.
It also requires someone buy the game before it can be pirated, whereas a UMD can be rented, borrowed, or even ripped in the store.
Yeah, I'm anticipating that.
The game looks friggin' awesome, but I still don't dig that design of Samus.
Maybe.. but at a buck each, they're not going to sustain the industry as it exists today. The market isn't going to change much.
I'd rather play this game on my Go so I can output to my TV and play with my Dualshock. That of course will require it to be downloaded... provided the game is put on PSN. We'll see what happens. I'll play it on my fatty if I have to.
@MisterAV
Yes that's true but developers can also make 3GS+ specific games which have double the specs (or higher) than those listed above. The available resources for games are still WAY higher than the PSP can provide. And in addition to more power, they don't need to render as many pixels on the iPhone screen.
With water and snow already accomplished so well, I think ND may be looking for another dynamic environment to replicate. Perhaps sand? Maybe something in Tunisia, Egypt or the Gobi Desert. Although like in UC2, they'll likely want to incorporate a melange of various environments. They don't want to throw out their water and snow tech, after all.
iPhone has 128MB of RAM (or higher) with a CPU underclocked to 412MHz (or higher) as well as a dedicated GPU. PSP has 32MB and a CPU underclocked to 333MHz.
The specs are fairly wide apart.
But that said, they can always change things to fit. They just may not feel the results are worth it. Especially when comparing iPhone game prices to PSP game prices.
Actually now that you mention it, I think Portal would be rather cool with a 2 Move setup. One for each colour portal. Blue in the right hand (with a blue ball) and orange in the left hand (with an orange ball) or vice versa. That way they could be controlled independently and simultaneously.
Lacking the jugs to pull it off.
