That's not hard to do. It's not unlike Rock Band. You start buying addons and then look back and wonder where your paycheck went.

I can't say I understand it, but I kinda get it. Think about it this way - what are fighting games if not controlling the space? The attack moves are simply used to control said space. This game boils it down to just those elements. It's kinda genius when you think about it...

I got in for maybe two hours on a Sunday, once. Initial impression was good, but like you I'd have liked to have had more time with it. At least we can jump in on the open beta soon!
I think, after three MMOs from SquareEnix, this is the first I'm actually excited to play.
Kalypso is rather hit and miss, but when they iterate on their products, the next version is usually better. It's not gonna help Dark, but stuff like Port Royale 3 is pretty good.
The first thing I'm doing is modding in some Flight of the Valkyries. They may not have rights to the song, but I don't care. :)
As I get older I tend to enjoy games around the 15 to 20 hour mark. At 40 it's a bit of a time commitment that, as an adult, I don't always have.
It is true....there is entirely too much whining going on in the game world.
I think when you look at the way it's been abused it certainly makes it harder for legitimate Indies to use it properly.
I'm floored at how gorgeous the player models are....wow.
The tough part is that the camera isn't a pack in. That means devs can't rely on everyone having it, like they can with the Kinect 2.0. It's hard to throw support at an addon without a lot of consumer support at it.
