My biggest tip for this game? Don't be afraid to leave an area. You can't reasonably "finish" one area (boss and all) without leaving and doing other side missions in other areas.
Snipers weren't just feared in WWII. They are one of the most devastating things on the battlefield today as well.
That's really odd. Gah, I'd hate to even suggest it, but reinstall the whole thing?
Even at this early stage it was already very fun. I do agree with LogicWins though - they've gotta nail down the glitches and bugs before release. Fingers crossed, but man...so far so very, very good.
It's not linear. I'm finding that if you play it in a linear fashion you are gonna have a bad time when you encounter a boss. You need to bounce around a bit on this one.
The previews from October of last year speak ill of it. The recent ones do not. Crunch time can make all the difference.
It's less than three cups of Starbucks. That's a lot of entertainment for such a small price.
Right? Simple things like that drive me nuts. Was there not enough time to test, or was feedback like yours just ignored. I'm certain SOMEBODY said that before launch...
You might want to dig further into the slide deck...there are quite a few things in there that are listed as not working.
See? Easily forgotten already. :D
Colonial Marines is a short-sighted choice. Warrior Within is my choice because the thing doesn't work. At least with ACM it worked...it just sucked.
Well, I believe you are the one person that is going to buy this game, Germaximus. Nobody else wants this...thing.
Right? I read it multiple times trying to figure out where they accidentally left a word out or something. 0_o
If this happened you'd have IGN and Polygon and very little else. Many games would never get coverage, and you'd never get an independent voice. Is that honestly what you want? Instead of restricting and eroding the industry, reward sites that do reviews properly and leave ones that don't. My writers get games that I send them for the cost of writing the review, but I expect them to fully quantify their piece. It goes through a rigorous editing process before it is released, ...
We gave it a 66% under our old review metrics. We've recently went back to the board and made sure that we are fully using the scale, meaning it'd likely get a lower score now.

I just don't care. I don't play the box, I play the games on the box.
Certainly of this year. I was going to cast my vote for Aliens: Colonial Marines, but it functioned. It was low-res, the levels were out of order, and the aliens were laugh-out-loud funny to watch, but it did actually work. This on the other hand doesn't, sealing its fate as my vote for 2013's worst of the year.
That's not the case though! The Kinect has enough juice to make this game work - unfortunately the developers....didn't.
I tried to be as professional and non-brutal as I could, but seriously...this game is hardly functional. It's pretty to look at though, for whatever that's worth.
There are people who will argue that those dirty-signal polluting lights on their PC make it faster. So yea, perception is that looks make it faster, but the reality is no.
