Indie games will play a big part in the nex gen of gaming.
AAA developers have too much money riding on a game that they can not afford to take chance - indie developers can afford to take more risk and they dont have share holders rushing them or telling them what can and can not be in a game.
Here is hoping the indies next gen keep there freedom but also get hardware that is affordable can can provide stunning graphics and physics.
Have to agree with everything you said...the one thing that probably would have made this game feel a little bearable would have been co-op.
Played it and it was ok but not what it was hyped up to be.
The thing that killed it for me was how easy the game was and the constant holding your hand through out the entire game.
I do however give it some credit for being diffrent but a shame that it was so easy...hope platnium games strays away from trying to casualize MGS Raising. More developers need to play games like Ninja Gaiden Black or Demon Soul.
You will probably get disagrees for saying that but the truth is that this game is a smash button melee game.
As a big PS1 and PS2 fan I have always wanted this game but was wishing that they had went with a more of a Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter or even something of there own type game...Smash Bros is great and I understand Sony wanted to cater to all ages but I would have loved to rip off sweet tooth head with Kratos.

let me guess your about 16 years old and never played the old school RE games...Co-op in a horror survival game - what happend to this world, I had some faith when I played Dead Space 1 and 2 but since 3 is going to have Co-op I can now say that the survival horror genre is dead.
Well to be fair BL Ops 2 has gone futuristic now so it has that scifi feel to it.
I think that Blc Ops 3 will be Americans fighting against aliens since the COD franchise has been milked so much that they have run out of countries to fight against.
One thing I realized is that you can not choose both mutiplayers if you are taken the multiplayer serious.
To be good at either game and keep up with the big boys you have to constantly keep playing on or the other. Halo and COD have totally different mechanics even though they are both FPS.
Sure if your just playing the multi to pass time then thats fine but if your care about your KD ratio then you either have to commit to COD or Halo.
So tell me more about these patents...what were they trying to find?

If you played Bullet Storm then you would know why Gears slow pace controller would not work.

@dasbear - If you owned a game studio and spent lots of money on a new engine that is built for multi-plat games would you make a game for just one system and break even or would you release the game on multiple platforms and triple your profits.
Also when Kojima demoed the Fox engine he picked up the 360 controller instead of the PS3.
