Sony said that before they were in this mess that they are in financially and before the restructure.
Kaz has to play his cards right if he want to bring Sony back to good standings and cutting certain project is one one of being more cost effective.
Lets see...Gears of War cost EPIC about 30 million to develop in 3 years - this game is passing 5 years in development -_- why in the world would Square release this game on the PS3/PS4 and risk breaking even when they can recoup and make more if they release on multiple platforms.
Edit: From a gamer point of view it seems ideal to release exclusive to Sony console but from a business perspective releasing your game to a wider audience is the correct thing to do.
Dude it cost $99...I know sure why your expecting VITA or PS3 quality game.
Not everyone can afford to dish out 250 for a Vita or 300 for a smart phone or tablet.
I am a hardcore gamer but enjoy playing IPad games once in awhile so will pick this up.

What the hell are you expecting for $99 Uncharted 3 graphics.
Its not meant to satisfy your hardcore need for advance graphics but meant as a cheap way to enjoy gaming with out having to spend $60 on games plus $20 for DLC.
Yes a new KI would be more than welcomed.
I think the fighting genre is small and the only real competition is Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat so if KI can bring the AAA goodness this will only make Capcom get off there asses and start being the old Capcom again.
I think the reason for that is becuase the Xbox is now the mainstream word for gaming console in America, it use to be Nintendo and then PlayStation but now when people refer to gaming they say XBox - watch any tv show like the Simpson, South Park, Family Guy and you will see what I am talking about, hell even Barak Obama refers to gaming as XBOX.

I for one am a big UC fan and was really dissapointed with the multiplayer and the main reason was because of the unbalance that they forced into the game.
I am all for doing new an innovative things but why mess with a good formula only to appeal to the casuals.

The device is a great value but Sony has to find a way to convince the millions that are buying the 3DS over the VITA.
As much as people are denying this, Sony's mean problem is games...they just dont have the calibre of games to compete with Nintendos top dogs like Mario, Monster Hunter, Pokemon and Zelda.

The price is affordable to me but what is really hurting the VITA is the 3DS price.
To us hardcore gamers the VITA is the better deal cause we know the power under the hood but to the casuals they see the 3DS as a better deal barbecuer of 2 screens and 3D.
