Agreed. I feel the same way about this game and the new God of War - I should be excited about these games but I feel like they should have been put off until next gen.
The Nintendo Wii U says Hi.
Nintendo does not pay Bluray royalties to Sony becuase the Wii does not allow Blu Rey movie playback.
This is all MS needs to do to avoid royalties...sure having a BluRay play is a plus but TBH I do not know many people who buy Bluray mvoies.
This is what people do not understand...PSN currently cost Sony alot of money to run and with the features that you are asking for it will cost even more to operate.
Sony will need to start charging for online next gen if they want to provide a top Online experience.
I know some of you believe that your favorite company loves you and does not care about your money but that is not the case.

If this is how next gen is going to operate then screw it I am done with gaming.

Not sure if this is a good move by Sony...my fat PS3 died a few months ago and I was really considering on buying a Super Slim PS3 but if the PS4 is announced for xmas 2013 or 1st qt 2014 then I will holding off on buying one.
On the other hand if Sony announces a PS3 price drop and they also announce that the PS4 wont be backward compatible then I might just get the PS3.
7 years a gen is overkill if you ask me - the standard should be 5 at most.
I was really really considering ditching console gaming for PC gaming if Sony or MS did not announce the PS4 or 720 this gen...hopefully these rumors are true as I have been a console gamers my entire life but I will not play on 7 year old hardware anymore.

Developers and publishers want the $$$$$$$$$$$ that Activision is bring in by releasing a yearly reskinned game with out having to put much effort in it.
Resident Evil, Bioshock, Mass Effect, Ninja Gaiden, DMC are a few examples of developers aiming for casuals to buy there games.

The fact that this game is tailored towards the casual did not help convince me to buy it.
Hope they are happy with the new casual fans that they have obtain but this die hard DMC fan is out... DMC will be placed in my memories as a game that I use to love along with Resident Evil and Ninja Gaiden.

While it did take the best parts from Saints Row and Grand Theft and combined into one game it still lacked anything that would set it apart from SR and GTA.

Just like when Nintendo said that Online gaming is not the future or when they said that apps like netflix, facebook or twitter are not need on a video game console.
Nintendo will forever be part of my child hood memories and Zelda will forever be my favorite game franchise but Nintendo needs to go back to the NES, Super NES, and N64 days and look back on what made them who they once were.
I feel a major Wii U price drop coming this E3.
