But to be honest this is a very good move on Activisions part becuase Bungie already has a fanbase on the Xbox so no need to try to sell this game to the Xbox gamers as they would have already thought about buying it.
I am excited and have been waiting for this momment for about 2 years - a console life cycle should only be 5 years and they should release a new one after that time.
I almost gave up on gaming becuase the new games that have been coming out in the last 2 years have felt boring and the same thing over and over.
Has this been confirmed that the PS4 is going to be announced or are people just saying this becuase of the Sony announcement today?
Well to be fair I do not see so much hype about the new God of War...I just think people are tired of this gen and dont expect much to be diffrent except a little bit more of eye candy - lets be honest developers can only do so much with 7 year old tech and the lack of RAM.

@Kam but unlike consoles PC's can be used for more than gaming.
Say you own a console, you would still need to buy a PC / Laptop to do other stuff that arent gaming relateD...so you will be paying for a console and and PC but if your a PC gamer you are only paying for a PC.
Well you will have about a year to see if its good or not - just youtube some gameplay footage from the 360 version.
So you are comparing the PS Vita to a console...why dont you compare the PS vita to its true competitor the 3DS, numbers do not look so good for the Vita when compared to the 3DS do they?

Congrats Activison for making COD the most loved franchised by PS3 and 360 gamers this gen.

Edit: Disagree all you want but the numbers do not lie and PS3 and 360 owners have spoken and they would prefer COD over Halo, Killzone or any other PS3 and 360 game.

This is what people who are predicting that Sony will announce the PS4 on the 20th fail to understand - Gaikai is very VITAL to the future of Sony and it cannot fail or break even, the purchase has to bring them back a huge payback which is why I expect Sony to announce something Gaikai related instead of PS4 on the 20th.
Some of you may say why not both... because a PS4 announcement will over shadow anything Gaikai related.
For some reason I still do not see Sony announcing the PS4 until E3.
I think this will all lead to a Gaikai announcement on the 20th.
Edit: B4 you disagree think about it...Sony paid alot of money for Gaikai and they have not said a word about it, if they announce the PS4 it will over shadow any Gaikai news that Sony announces after they announce the PS4.

Dont you think you are being a little too hard on the developers? Bethesda tried his best to give us a Skyrim experience on 7 year old technology which is dinosaur age in the tech world.
If anything blame Sony and MS for the lack of RAM in the 360 and PS3.
Bethesda could have giving us console gamers the middle finger and focus only on the PC but he wanted more people to enjoy Skyrim so he did his best with the tools that were giving to him on consoles.

Have to agree...Modern Warefare one really made the FPS the power house it is now in the gaming industry but I think the hate for Call of Duty comes from them releasing an annually re-skinned game every year with not much improvement and being owned by a greedy person like Kotic does not help - you have to admit that what he did to the original Infinity Ward team was messed up.

I am not sure why you are getting some much disagrees but what you say is true.
Casual consumers do not follow gaming like we do and the casuals make up at least 75% of the gaming market, as much as we hate to admit they are the reason why gaming is still a relevant -business.
Go compare the sales to games like Angry Birds, Mario, Pokemon, Wii Fit, MineCraft to games like Battle Royal, Alan Wake, Dark Siders 2 and tell me which games are selling better.
How about Sony announcing that them and MS have merged and they introduced the PS720...crazier things have happen so who knows.
