If you are talking about the PS4 then its a big deal because Sony is not using the the CELL chip in the PS4.
Long story short unless you are willing to pay $600 for a launch console then I would not ask Sony add BC to the PS4.
it would probably be cheaper to buy a PS4 and a PS3.
The PS4 will be able to play PS3 games but only digital which means that you will have to re-buy the PS3 games.

Why do you think developers wont support if its not standard?
Kinect was not standard and got good support from 3 party developers and MS...Plus Sony has alot of 1st party studios who can support it.
So in the long run developers would want to support this since now they can makes games for the 720 and PS4 which means a bigger install base and more money.
I am still puzzled as to how Sony is going to try to go against Kinect without an IR cam...
I notice that Sony did not mention anything about Skype on the PS4...Skype could be a huge plus for MS if implemented right on the 720.

Well to be fair Sony is a Japanese company and in Japan women are not treated equal to men in the business world.
I work for a big company in America where we deal with alot Japanese clients and the top Japanese CEO's from different companies refused to meet with our CEO here who was a woman.

What the article is actually saying is that the trailer was put together for screening purposes in 2 months - the game has actually been in development for alot longer and the producer just took bits from what is made so and made a trailer in two months
People are also forgetting that Sony will need to include a mic and HDMI cable bundled with the PS4.
I know that they are not expensive but knowing Sony they will not aim for the cheapest mic and HDMI on the market.

I want this game to succeed but TBH from the little bit of info and images that we have seen,it looks like Bungie could not stray away from the Halo look and I expect the gameplay to feel like Halo too.
I thought Bungie wanted to get away from the shadows of Halo...I would have thought that they would have done something completely diffrent.
Should be intresting to see if the current trends continues next gen where:
Activision favors MS
EA favors Sony
Also am I the only one excited to see what next gen Call of Duty will bring to the table...I understand the hate for the game since Activion has milked COD for all its worth but you cannot deny that the COD games are fun.
