Edit: Also I think the fact that Japanese developers are still making games for the PSP is hurting the VITA.

This why not everyone can be made CEO of a company - MH Vita with better graphics would mean that the developers would have to spend more money than what they did with the 3DS MH.

2 things about the back touch.
1. Back touch plus rumble will drain the batteries fast.
2. MS own the back touch tech that Sony is using on the VITA and they would need MS approval to use it on the controller. Too lazy to find the link that shows that MS gave Sony the ok to use the back touch tech on the VITA but here is a youtube video to MS back touch tech.
I do not see Sony every getting back to the top like they were in 90's and early 2000's.
Sony's main problem was that they did not evolve with the times and stayed old school for too long.
Look Apple...they hit it big with the iPod and continued to hold that trend and keep popular with the kids, teens and old people.

In terms of making socializing with friends and family online easier then I agree.
But MS has dropped the ball in the last 3 years and have focused on Kinect so in terms of games The PS3 wins hands down.
The only thing that saves the 360 is that most of the mutliplats are better on the 360 but that is slowly changing.
I agree with you but I think the PS3 priced at $600 would still be an issue for most people and they would have waited to see what MS would had offer and at what price.
The 360 relaseing 1 year after the PS3 would have also been good for MS becuase they would have time to fix the RROS issue and also they would have gotten to see what Sony's final product was.

What you are describing the typical family living room to be is a clutter mess like my first attached when in fact the typical home is actually not over cluttered like the 2nd attached image.
Did you watch the video? The guys living room had all kinds of stuff around the TV that we all would normally have.
The point is that you should have the lights turned off to fully to experience...
If its going to make the PS4 cost more on launch day then please do no add this feature - if its not needed for gaming then do not add it.
