"been fully tested and it should fail like 1 every 6 months"
What don't you get about IT ISN'T F**KING FINISHED?
The game isn't out until November. Are you seriously telling me that every game released is completely finished months before it comes out?
Plus, you want 1 crash every 6 months? Fine. Take the amount of Xbox 360 consoles at gamescom - plus the ones in the Kinect Galleries - that are/were all running th...
Yeah, you're right. Sony didn't release the EyeToy or the PSEye that only supported one incredibly bad card game and a virtual pet "game", did they?
Off I go to wait for my PS3 to take another hour to download another 20mb patch for a game over my 50mb fibre connection. Wait...that can't be right...as everything they've ever made works just fine, right?
He could well have done, given that anyone in London can go to the Kinect Galleries and play one.
Oh, and it all seemed to work fine when I did so.
Nice "hidden" defense of Sony's overpriced machine that doesn't ever fail.
Apart from all the yellow lights.
You're all familiar with the concept of preview code, right? No? Well, let me tell you that a month ago, there were PS3's crashing all over the show with the Kane and Lynch: Dog Days preview build. Mine crashed twice before I even saw the main menu.
Does that mean that Sony fails? No. It just means that its PREVIEW CODE.
Why are the Sony fans so scared? Why are they SO IN LOVE with a games console? Surely, the games are what you should love? Unles...
Only downside being that 99% of Wii games don't actually work on any level.
Don't understand why everyone is so wound up about this.
Guy goes into store without any information (which he could have gotten online before deciding that he definitely wanted a 360 Arcade), gets given a piece of information, leaves in a temper, checks the information, drives back to the store, calls the manager a liar because he was mistaken (despite the fact that it was information that he wasn't even sure of himself) and then gives him a bunch of money anyway. ...
Do you even understand what was just said? I said that Move required the mat and that Move does nothing other than tracking the hands, which Kinect CAN do.
Of course the dance pad is going to give a better version of DDR than some sort of visual foot-tracking. Goes without saying. Kinect doesn't even HAVE DDR...it has Dance Central, which is a totally different game, but hey...you carry on not being able to afford two consoles, and then slating the one you can't get...
Congratulations on not understanding anything about the industry that you apparently love.
High price? Where? Two players with Kinect = £129.99. Two players with a full Move setup = £136.97.
I guess if you don't have any friends, the price is a little high.
...or not.
And to everyone screaming about how Move can do DDR...you do realise that you still need the dance mat to play DDR with Move, don't you? Move only does the hand tracking...wait...what's that? Just like Kinect can do? Oh yeah.
Fail article.
"because Kinect underperforms and is generally unimpressive to most people"
I love how you KNOW this, despite not having used Kinect, or played any of the games that aren't out for another THREE MONTHS. These games have a good two months left of tweaking and balancing left - but hey, you carry on, I'll try it when it comes out and you never know...I might just enjoy it. You can sit there in your little bubble, crying about how bad Kinect is...I'll carr...
Congratulations on approving this story with a broken link, N4Gers. Top work.
And to think, you criticise reviewers for not finishing games, yet can't even click on a link to read an article before you approve it.
My local branch of GAME allows you to return something if you don't like it. Based on this article, all people wishing to take them up on their offer, should bring their console with them, so that they can prove to the store staff that they have completed the game first.
I mean if they haven't completed it, how can they be SURE that they don't like it?
I'll bet that 99% of the people commenting on this post have taken a game back to the st...
Reviewer = Reviews games. Review = opinion of something. Therefore, the job title "Reviewer" does not mean that every game has to be completed. If they can generate a balanced opinion from 4 hours of play, then fair play to them.
The review is only going to get hacked to pieces by ignorant little fanboys in the comment section anyway. "O MI GOD I CNT BELIVE U SED GOD OF WAR WAS ONLY VERY GOOD ND NOT AMAYZING U SUCK PS3 ROOLZ" is about as good as it gets....
Seriously, you have no idea what you're talking about, dinkeldinkse.
One, there's no need for the language. It doesn't make you look cool. Two, its a reviewer's job to present a balanced opinion of a game. If they feel that they can provide a balanced opinion of a game after playing 4 out of the game's 8 hours worth of play, then so be it.
You give me MW2, I'll complete it and present my review. You give me the fifteenth Cold War h...
"You know. I've seen many reviewers lately stating that they in fact haven't finished their games. One example was IGN with Naughty Bear. Sure, it was a horrible game, but that doesn't mean that they shouldn't finish the game. Its part of their JOB"
Oh, put a sock in it.
I'm sorry, but when YOU have reviewed over 1,000 games in 7 years, you will have enough experience to know when a game has shown you all that it intends to ...
Lol. The fact that you think that Gran Turismo 5 will outsell Halo: Reach shows exactly how little you know about the industry. I love both consoles, but you're totally, totally wrong.
"Watch the vid to find out if you can Move with your movies!
P.S. Awful pun, I know."
Clearly you don't, as that isn't even a pun.
What a great news article. Welcome to what everybody else has been doing for at least 5 years.
Oh look, someone else who hasn't played Kinect, who yet knows exactly how it plays.
I feel like I've walked in on a time traveller convention.
And of course Microsoft went the Kinect/Wii/Casual route. For some reason, you think that the company is here to please you. Not the case. They're here to make money, which is what they'll do. As will Sony, who are selling Wiimotes with light bulbs stuck on top, with a camera.
