Not bad for the first in the series for consoles.
The Bad Company series on PS3 and 360 are totally different games, Battlefield 3 is the first big, real Battlefield to hit consoles.
This is equivalent to the original CoD4: Modern Warfare, which initially sold worse than this (Albeit not taking into account the smaller console install base)
I predict good things as word of mouth kicks in about how good the game is.

I've been waiting for this announcement for YEARS.
I have longed for a PC only racing game with the monterary investment by developers as console racers.
This game looks sweet. PC Hardware can support upwards of 5x the polygon count as consoles.. so much more bandwidth, and this is the result from a game made by a relatively small publisher, with a game in beta, and a budget likely 1/10th of something like Forza 4.
Imagine if Polyphony or Turn 10 made a PC Exclusive game with a huge budget, it would look incr...
I agree. CPU/GPU development needs to take a back seat, they really need to pump as much money as possible into Battery development.
Literally, a couple hundred millions or even few billion £'s or $'s in Battery research and development may be a start in the right direction.
It's one of those things that needs to be done, even without any financial gain.
Even if Phones/Tablets were approaching the specs of the Vita (they're not) that is only a small part of the story.
PS Vita is a dedicated gaming platform. It's sole purpose is for games. The operating system will be designed for games, and people that buy the Vita are going to be wanting full gaming experiences, and are willing to spend a lot more buying a Vita game than a phone game.

Know how long it took me to download BF3 Beta ? 5 hours.
I just tried it. Okay i'm only on crappy 3mb DSL, but even ignoring that blatantly bad quality, input lag was absolutely terrible. My ping is usually 30ms in most games, but this.. it was just unplayable.
And consoles will never get some PC exclusives.
CSS is massive, and PC exclusive. ArmA2 is PC Exclusive. ArmA3 is PC Exclusive. WoW is PC Exclusive. Hard Reset is PC exclusive. Total War games are PC Exclusive. Red Orchestra 2 is PC Exclusive. And those are just off the top of my head.
Who knows how many more PC exclusives there are, especially in the Indy sector.
Your droid bionic doesn't have a 5" screen, or a Quad Core CPU/GPU.
If this gets 5 hours of pure gaming, then moderate useage throughout the day is very feasible.
3 to 5 hours is fine for me, i would of liked more. But the chances of me wanting to game for 3 hours straight outside of my house isn't all that likely, except once in a full moon.
Have to remember this is a quad cpu and quad gpu with a 5inch screen. That will use a lot of battery.
If anyone has an iPhone 4 here, if you play a game with the brightness at max, wifi on, speakers on, the battery lasts less than 2hours 30minutes - yet with casual use it easi...

Pretty low res. But 120fps is good for face/eye tracking amongst other things.
640x480 is similar to standard def TV, which can look pretty good. The resolution really tells us nothing about how good the cameras are.
What system do you have ? i have a i7 2600k and gtx470 yet only average 47fps on highest.

Most of the car models are from Forza 3 anyway, just with super duper ENB graphics ontop.
They need to be careful. It's arguable the difference between top end PC games and top end console games isn't enough to justify an entirely new console.
The previous gen to this gen had something huge to bounce off, the leap to HD - which was noticeable by even the most average of Joe's. Look at PS2 graphics compared to PS3 graphics now. The leap is massive, in my opinion, much more noticeable than say BF3 on PS3 and BF3 on PC. I'm not saying the PC isn'...

I couldn't disagree more. I've not encountered any lag, the graphics arn't the best out there but there perfectly fine.
BF3 is nothing like this game.
People that are moaning its buggy ? Wow, theres this thing called, a BETA. It means the games not complete and they're bug testing.
True. But it was hardly a match for the PC version, it was a low budget attempt with no marketing to get it on consoles with little next gen feel to it.
