My 60 gig is still going strong although I am thinking about selling it since I NEVER use the BC. I used it when the PS3 first came out since there were no games to play but I can honestly say I haven't used the BC functionality in years.
I don't knock MS for spending their money, it's their money who am I to tell them what to do with it. But Kinect is still an expensive peripheral. If anything, why not refine Kinect some more and then bundle it with the Xbox 720 when it comes out in a few years. Kinect plus all the bells and whistles that the 720 is sure to have would make the entire Xbox console seem fresh and unique. Plus with Kinect bundled with every 720, you are guaranteed tens of millions in terms of install bas...
Here's what I suspect will happen with both the Move and Kinect. Fanboys will buy both on launch (2 million sold already for Move). Kinect will sell a million or so more due to their advertising to the Beiber, soccer mom crowd and the USA's penchant for buying anything that's hyped up enough (I'm American btw). Nah that happens on my TV too. Whenever it switches from PS3 game to XMB to Movie etc... it will show what the display resolution is. It only does it on this one TV I have it doesn't do it on my other one

With Alan Wake, I think people are confusing the cut scenes with the gameplay graphics. The cutscenes look damn good. Uncharted 2 good from what I have seen. The gameplay graphics are a step down though. That step down is what keeps the actual game from looking as good as God of War 3, Uncharted 2 and Killzone 2.
