*Gold and Silver members combined
"Though he couldn't speak to the divide in terms of paid Xbox Live members versus unpaid (last we heard, there were over 12 million Gold subscribers), he did note that Microsoft is earning "more revenue from the transaction space than the subscription space."
EDIT: @bodybombs
Re-read man. Microsoft is earning "more revenue from the transaction space than the subscription space." Marketpl...
At first it was, then was going to both PS3/360, then was releasing on PS3 first...basically, who knows. I'l be rocking it on PS3 and ask every platform gamer support it. Autism (Amy is autistic) isn't a topic touched on in anything gaming (that I'm aware of). Reading about this game and some of the events that unfold, I'm very curious to see if autism is just a talking point or has some value/education to the game.
Not really. MS killed the Xbox for the 360, quickly. Like bullet to the head quick. By rushing to be "1st to market", they've almost painted themselves into a corner. Nintendo is running with the WiiU next year and with Sony seemingly having no reason to release a new console outside the Vita...why wouldn't MS still kill the 360 off, albeit, slower than the original Xbox? Having so many gaming options next year (360, Wii, WiiU, DS, 3DS, PS3, PSP, Vita) makes me wonder.
With Steam and browser games cannibalizing PC gaming, I don't see too many current PC owners with piles of games. Until I have a reason to use multiple discs, I won't. There's got to be a time when you say to yourself...I live in the year TWO THOUSAND AND ELEVEN.
Well then do you still use analog TVs with dials, flip cell phones the size of bricks and VHS tapes? TV is TV, a phone is a phone and watching a movie is watching a movie... convenience is sooooo overrated.
Sequel, sequel, sequel, sequel, remake, sequel, sequel, sequel, NEW, NEW, sequel, reboot, sequel, NEW...somethings going on.
Sideway is $9.99
EDIT: Anytime!
Let's hope it's as good as it looks. $20 could be off-putting to some.
With FW being on UMD (and UMD being soooooooo important when the Go released) why would you need WiFi with the size of library currently and no real need for MP?
EDIT: That's the nature of technology. You're buying a Vita to play Vita games, so play the PSP games on a PSP. Not every bit of tech can be a swiss army knife.
Hits. PS fanboys can't take any negative criticism towards Sony products. So they flock to the source and give them a piece of their minds! In turn, the site makes $ as hits increase and ad revenue generated. Just look here, Destructoid and Kotaku...all over. You can be a fan without being blind. That's why I like Sony. I see what they offer and like it more than the competition.
It's $150, marked up by MS. The tech IS cheap enough. It's not the future, like 3D isn't the future. It's a "neat", just like 3D.
There is nothing easier than using your thumb to change a channel, go to a website or fire up Netflix. Not having to worry about accents, repeating words, or limited selections of compatible entertainment. No more looking for remotes (on the coffee table), broken remotes (be more careful) or fumbling to find buttons (since...
Are soldiers in the field holding game controllers shouting Gunsmith commands? No. Kind of a bold and insulting statement all at once.
What tiny bit of money can be made by selling 1.5 million consoles in 6yrs, the paid for exclusives that go PS3, the marketing and Kinect? Are we talking $10, $15 here?
Where's the sales link showing 25-40k per week? If that were the case, MS would make sure EVERYONE knew about it.
@LOGICWINS
Just cutting Kinect leaves a whole bunch of other bundles on the shelf. What about the $400 Kinect-free Gears 3 bundle? Or the $450 Star Wars Kinect bundle? So they'd just drop the 4GB and 250GB bundles to $249 and $349? The 160GB Move-free PS3 is $249, the 320GB Move bundle is $349. I don't see that many people rushing to grab 4GB ...
I wasn't clear. I have DirecTV and NFL Sunday Ticket. $50 to use it as a receiver seems slick. The service for a year if you already subscribe is $334...I opted for the $60 breakdown.
NFL license fees are a bitch. If you aren't a DirecTV subscriber, it is what it is. I already subscribe so it's about to be on :)
"viewers who do not currently have access to DIRECTV" - that's the key to the price. I already subscribe to DirecTV and for an additional $50?! Sign me up.
Did you mention games? Who'd a thunk a gaming console could have great services AND a ton of great games.
Because during its initial announcement, the 360 was never mentioned. Now that it has been confirmed, fanboys feel the need to run with this, in hopes everything from Ninja Gaiden to Mass Effect 2 going PS3 will be forgotten.
I know a pretty even mix. The ones with Gold pay b/c "they have to". The ones that are Silver also have a PS3.
