It's a great firmware. Nothing mind blowing, but what it adds are super useful (for PS+ members). I have got my money and them some with the price of my subscription.
The PS3 is behind the 360 globally by single digit millions. The PS3 appears to be getting the best version of the game - Move compatible and comes with the entire 1st BioShock on the same disc. If Kinect support were added, then I'd agree...risky.
It won't happen...until the Vita is released. Party chat available on one PS gaming platform makes it available on another. And they'll probably want to tie the chat capabilities together.
@Quagmire
Activision doesn't own the rights. They do, however, have an exclusive deal with Marvel Entertainment granting them exclusive rights to the Spiderman and Xmen franchises. Til 2017. *sigh*
Great move. I have interest in specific programming (sports, gaming primarily, some some movies ) and not having to play the non-standard game make it more appealing. MotorStorm Apocalypse in 240hz in 3D is mind blowing.
EDIT: @militant07
If loss of resolution gives me things that look like Killzone 3, MLB 11 and MotorStorm (the only games I've played in 240hz 3D)...I am FINE with that.
As he asked a general question, I'll provide a general answer - Either they don't have a PS3 or don't like the PS3 or don't like the genre Uncharted is in. @Neckbear is the first two I'm guessing.
You have to commend their dedication.
I'd like a new Dead Space game for Vita, not an iOS port.
I grabbed this all on the DLC for $15 on PSN. You don't have to wait for GOTY editions, just wait.
Tim Drake is exactly the version of Robin the "reinvent" fits. Dick became NightWing, Jason was killed by Joker and Tim was the Robin that received the new costume and even had a side gig as Red Robin. It was not only the best choice, but the smartest as well.
You earned a star for common sense.
I'll comment on whatever the hell I want to. You mad?
Can totally live without this game.
KZ3 and inFamous 2 didn't sell poorly. Sony didn't buy Sucker Punch b/c inFamous 2 flopped. Alan Wake didn't sell well, not b/c of lack of marketing, but b/c the game really wasn't very interesting. Or fun even.
Are you being a blind fanboy on purpose, or do you really have those idiotic thoughts? Heavy Rain, Socom 4, Killzone 3, Resident Evil 5 Gold, LBP 2, Tiger Woods, upcoming Bioshock Infinite...not hardcore enough? You must be looking forward to Disneyland and Sesame Street. You don't own Move.
EDIT: It doesn't matter if it's a patch or Move-only, what matter is if it WORKS. If it's FUN. All TheMART and waseem335 are providing are excuses. If you want to play wi...
...in 2004. Excuse us for thinking a game on multiple discs in 2011 is a tad much. Fun has nothing to do with old tech.
Instant gratification in installing separate discs just to get the experience the mandatory install is providing? Ok...Let me spread the superbly long install over 2 discs. Cause a one time, up front install is a god damn dealbreaker!
This tweet from Carmack says it best:
"For Rage data streaming, PC HD full install > 360 HD full install > PS3 partial install > 360 HD cache > 360 DVD". He has also stated that the 360 full install and PS3 partial install (only option) are equal for quality and that the experience on the PS3 will be better (in some ways) because they had to compress less textures thanks to Blu-ray.
No waiting an hour sak500. It's just waiting for th...
How many discs is it on? Don't believe the hype - compression hurts.
