Also...who the hell complains about the cutscenes in Yakuza? They are interesting, have excellent cinematography, great voice acting, and extremely well done facial animations.
FF13 was the previous record holder of best launch month sales in the franchise. Counting digital sales, FFXV seems to be charting about 35% ahead of FF13 launch month sales. So this is pretty huge.
One of my favorite gaming franchises now. I thought Yakuza would just be an average niche japanese game, and it ended up having better storytelling and exploration than most AAA games I've played.
FF13 is the third best selling FF of all time, and held the previous record for best launch month sales for a FF game. Try again.

Noctis is genuinely great though. Hell, he isn't even broody or emo like he appears. Not too mention he goes through a very clear, but nice story arc. I rate him as my favorite FF protagonist.

The optional dungeons are the best optional dungeons I've played in an RPG in years. The Hunts are addictive.

Back in the era when video games could have tons of cutscenes and not feel ashamed for it. But now, linear, story driven games are considered old, and uninteresting.
You do realize the Edge previewer said that he absolutely enjoyed his time with FFXV right? Also, Edge gave FFX a 6/10 and it has a 92 meteoritic. If they give FFXV a 6 or 7, that would put it in line with the scores they gave previous ff games that people adore. Edge is notorious for being "critical."
Thats what I like about it. Feel like I'm really gonna be attached to the 4 bros by the end of it. Makes it really feel like a crew.
60 fps will never happen. The CPU in the pro is barely stronger than the base ps4.
