At this point the only games I own for 360 that I still want to be backwards compatible are Fable Anniversary and Tales of Vesperia.
Halo, Gears, and Forza are really the only flagship franchises that Xbox has that are still getting new games and aren't 100% available on PC or other game consoles. Everything else that is notable such as Killer Instinct, Dead Rising, etc that are still considered "exclusive" are also available on PC.
So I can see why any of those three could be considered as the system's premier franchises, when there really aren't any others to choose from.
Generally I love to have 4k and 60fps at the same time (I use a tv instead of a monitor so I can't go higher than 60), and I can do that with most games on my PC (Except Rise of the Tomb Raider, which was optimized very poorly for PC so I couldn't do both). Anytime that I have to decide between 4K and 30FPS vs 1080P and 60FPS, the higher framerate always wins simply because the fluidity of 60fps is so much better than the visual upgrade of 4K.
4K does look great tho...
I'm enjoying it so far. It is simplistic and childish, but that adds to the charm. It definitely isn't as good as the classic Final Fantasy games that we all love. But it is still a fun game.
Even on a 4K TV, 1080p and 60fps is so much better than 4k and 30 fps. My computer couldn't run Rise of the Tomb Raider at 4K 60fps so I highly preferred 1080p 60fps. That is the option I will use for Nioh on the PS4 Pro.
I still enjoyed the DLC, but I agree it was a bit short. Hopefully the next DLC makes up for this one's length.
Demon's Souls and BloodBorne are pretty much part of the same series, so you should play those too.
Dark Souls 2 is still REALLY GOOD compared to most games. Not as good as the others in the series, but calling it trash is flat out lying.
I'm pretty sure people thought that getting the new HD 1080p gear back when 720p was the norm was stupid and a waste of time. But now look, 1080p is the norm and anything lower is noticeably different.
Granted, the jump from 1080p to 4k isn't as noticeable as the jump from 720p to 1080p, and you only really see a noticeable difference when sitting within a certain distance from your tv. But native 4k material looks really good on a 4k tv when you are using a 4k comp...
Framerates looked like the standard 30 fps. Granted, youtube's encoding only allowed the video to have 30 fps max. However, the specific footage of Zelda being played on the go showed framerates that were easily around 15 fps. Those are the ones I am worried about.
One thing I am worried about is the footage it showed of Zelda being played on the go. The framerate was really low. So I'm starting to think that it might get some sort of power boost when it is docked and played on a TV, but might struggle with certain titles when played on the go.
I think the main things I want to know before I purchase are the following:
- How much will it be?
- What will frame rate and resolution be like?
- Will there be ...
Damn 'memberberries
It's a shooter, not a dating sim.
I don't need to see characters having any romantic or sexual interactions. It doesn't matter if they are heterosexual, homosexual, bisexual, sapiosexual, demisexual, pansexual, or any other sexual identity.
Calling it a gimmick console means nothing. Every product, gaming or not, has some sort of gimmick. Gimmicks are what give a product an "oooh that's different, I want to experience it" feel, and help hook customers. Releasing any system without some sort of gimmick gives people the feeling of "Why is it necessary for me to buy that?"
The difference now is that the gimmick is relevant, and is something that causes the switch to target not only its hom...
Eh, despite it being an inferior console family, Xbox controllers have always been significantly more comfortable. I'm using an xbox one controller on my PC
Would have played similarly to Pokemon Conquest.
I've come to notice that people either really love No Man's Sky, or they absolutely hate it. There doesn't seem to be any middle ground.
But the things I've been hearing as to why people don't like it are mainly that they aren't finding other players everywhere, and there aren't space dogfights or alien showdowns every 2 seconds.
Which begs the question, why are people so mad at the game for not having those things? The game wa...
"Space is a lonely place and Sean Murray's rendition of it appears to be even lonelier"
No... I am pretty sure that if you actually went into space, you wouldn't find space ships in every solar system, or aliens, sentinels, and plants on every planet.
I don't see any of the characters from the trailer in the artwork.
4K is cool, but even on a 4K TV it isn't too noticeable. I have a 4K TV, but that is not the main reason why I upgraded to a PS4 Pro. I upgraded because of the improved processor and ram for the most part. There are games that have already announced that PS4 Pro will allow for 1080p @ 60fps, such as Final Fantasy XV and Nioh. I'll take 60 fps at 1080p over 4k at 30 fps any day.
