What are you talking about you can still buy Xbox Live Gold on its own if you want to. You guys need to stop having conversations about Xbox if you know nothing about it. https://www.xbox.com/en-US/...
"...this is really top of the line" sorry but a 1080p monitor in todays gaming market is NOT top of the line in any imagination. That would be like selling a new rotary phone and calling it top of the line today.
Souls games are level oriented where it really locks you down from areas unless you beat a boss first to move on. Elden Ring still has that boss battle scenario but is more open and the option to bypass many bosses and play a large portion of the game without even fighting a boss until you want to is possible.
Dark Souls games really do more compartmentalize the game areas versus Elden Ring more open world play. A huge difference in play for many.
Bait title. The boss is not "undiscovered" due the mod. It is created due to the mod. Huge difference.
MS has zero say in this and can't get involved.
Microsoft can't even enter into any discussion on this subject until after the deal is finalized. To do so would put the deal in jeopardy.
'Xcom 2: War of The Chosen' caused undo crashing for many players last generation and was never really resolved. So I for sure can't give it a mention in this list.
It is the single greatest value potential in the entire conversation. The reason why PS+ can't compete.
$70 current gen pricing is the hard pass for me.
Game Pass is a boon to multiplayer titles. Giving a direct avenue for player base building. If you are introducing yourself to a new console/system then it only makes sense to open the player base to the most gamers as possible. Game Pass does not exclude purchase of the game for those not in Game Pass or simply want to invest in the developer. It also allows for a larger base in potential add-on sales. Whether it be any in-store game options or battlepass systems or in-game currencies.
@SullyCigar - "So if I play the game from start to finish with my buddy, only one of us shows as having completed it? Am I missing something here?" - where do you expect that showing of completion appears? Achievements.
Generic...? Like Resident Evil games have become generic? Slowly rummage through a place and hold onto that one bullet you have and trying to avoid everything? Like God of War games have become generic? Trudge through boring levels fight move on, fight some more? Like GT7 and Forza Motorsports generic? Drive... drive some more... change some parts, respec vehicle, drive some more? This guy writes articles about codes in games and little more. then comes out of the woodwork to talk about how g...
And they name 6 titles of which MEDIEVIL, CELESTE, TELLING LIES are among them? What? That is your list of best? Really???
Borderlands is a mess in my eyes. Half the time I don't know what I have finished and what I haven't based on going into multiple people's games. I always keep a separate character at different levels for friends games when playing borderlands. Just makes it so much easier and less a hassle for me.
I think you need to read the actual article maybe?
"Smith added that your character progress, including loot and XP, will carry over from another player's campaign to your own. So, theoretically, you could max out your character playing on someone else's campaign and then return to your playthrough at the first level and just absolutely plough through everything."
Suggesting that likely achievements and such will be unlocked regardless ...
Point being that it is not new video games. It is little different than video streaming services that only offer tons of old monies but never offers new movies. Sure it is something you might think of subscribing to but the lack of any real new titles is very much the kicker here. Day 1 video games need to be prioritized for the PS+ to be worth really any long term subscription. We already have huge libraries of older backlog games and people buy new games for a reason... because they are new...
So funny seeing people begging that a Kojima Xbox Studios project not be Xbox exclusive. People will argue the point up until after launch making "so your telling me there's a chance" Lloyd Christmas like statements when everyone else knows it just is not going to happen. Xbox Studios is not working on a multiplatform console title here. It will come to Xbox Eco-system and that is it. Sorry guys. And if Sony is working with Kojima Productions on a game then you can count on it n...
@Zhipp - it depends on what type of DLC it is. You usually won't see stuff like carpacks and outfit/weapons' packs but will see most major story DLCs and such. Though we saw the DLCs for Gears but did not see DLC for Wasteland 3 that was developed prior to acquisition.
Technically you aren't forced to buy anything. And Xbox Live gold can be bought separately. https://www.xbox.com/en-US/...
