I think it would be better for gamers if the two developed a universal platform that played all games both Sony and Microsoft published. The two could establish a universal requirement for specs and just have their published games run better on their specific hardware.
Let's split the difference. Give me solid games at 60fps and up the res to 2k.Use the extra resources for in game assets. With the majority of people not having a 4K tv yet I think it's the best option.
Nailed it. The Japanese have a strong sense of nationalism. There's no denying that. If you grew up knowing a foreign country killed hundreds of thousands of your people you would too.
I'm willing to bet that this is common practice for nearly everyone. Optimizations are done last, so it would make sense that it isn't running on the console yet
Please nintendo...just drop the console business. Go third party.
Hmmm... Maybe because someone wants a 4K blu ray player and the only other option is 399??? With this you also get a game system. I was thinking that PS4 would have a console with 4K bluray first but now I'm just gonna sell my PS4 and buy another Xbox to use for a bluray player. Someday I'll revisit PS4 but I like playing games with friends and Xbox is just so much better at that.
Just like their shitty A40TR. TB really stepped their game up. The Elite Pro stuff is pretty cool
Microsoft is coming out swinging. They've learned from their mistakes and maybe this time we'll get a full featured console day 1. I loved the XB1 and its my favorite console to play on, but it only has remnants of the original announcement (good thing). Let's get it right the first time Microsoft!
They're making an exit strategy
I love buying physical games for my iPad...wait. Look people, digital only works. It's coming. Get over it. Your phones, your tablets, even the majority of computer software is digital. The sooner it is more widely adopted, the higher the quality and frequency of sales will increase. Games with gold on Xbox is great but there's rarely publisher sales. Same thing with PS+. I'd love the kind of physical sales we see to translate to digital sales.
I think you spent more time pointing out negative things Nintendo has done and then making excuses for it than providing valid reasons for the NX actually being good.
They should've just waited for the next generation. They put themselves in a terrible place jumping in mid gen with their tendency to put out weaker hardware. Devs are comfortable with the current setups on PS4/XBO. They aren't going to want to learn to develop for a system that will be relevant for 2 or 3 years.
@Orejillz HOW DARE YOU LIKE BOTH GAMES. Downvotes for you!
They will certainly go third party if it fails. The investors will speak with their wallets.
Stupid. "People saved up money over the years" $400 for something that should have a lifespan of 2 years which is typical for electronics today, is fine. I don't think anyone is saving for years for a game system with their $800 smartphone. As long as the systems support the same games for 5-6 years, and allow BC after that time, there should be no issue. Games need to be able to be played on all future systems period. Technology moves fast and there's no reason to hold it b...
The grammar in this. Ouch.
Decent points but Apple releases its most profitable products in the fall aka iPhones, not spring. You also don't get the sales boost of the holidays. Higher initial sales = increased developer interest. That's something they need bad, so you better hope everyone is throwing their money at stores for these things....in March.
@fox79 Apple doesn't explicitly tell people a new iPhone comes out every year and that by the time a person receives their phone it will be obsolete in a little more than 300 days, yet people still pay $800+ for it. As long as they support every version of the PS4 with every game, there should be no issue. You don't have to have the latest and greatest thing, nor does a company have to ensure that you do. It is simply an option. Personally I think the consoles should have 3 external a...
Nintendo founded the traditional home console market (after sega created a controller like the arcades) but their contributions stop there. Henry Ford created the first mass market automobile but Ford isn't changing the industry. It's great that they jump started the market but to say they're going to revolutionize the "future of gaming with ease" is ludicrous when nearly everything they've done since has been stuck in the past.
So does this have the mall from the first game AND the streets outside? That'd be sick. You could throw in a bunch of Easter eggs for fans
