Part of the reason for the Scorpio not releasing till next year is for the components to be cheaper. I don't think you could release a 4k capable system this year without losing a lot of money, and Sony as a whole can't afford that.
Obviously don't release it as a completed game, but mark it as Early Access and let the PS4 players have it! It has come a long way on Xbox, even adding a second island, and another huge update is incoming.
@Pongwater 7 Days to Die on PC is much farther than ARK, 7 Days to Die on consoles is like the first early release of ARK. There's no servers.
@Z501 That argument doesn't make sense. It would be worse to wait for the official launch and realize you don't like it after paying full price. There are clear warnings that you are buying a pre release game. They even offer a free trial. You're literally arguing against a game because it is giving a discount to people to play it before it is ready, and working closely with said community to improve the game for people who pay the full $60 at launch. Why, because it isn't on ...
One is labeled early access alpha. The other is a full $60 game. Try again
Um...you get to play it early, see it all come together, and get $30 off the full version when it comes out for basically beta testing it. Seems like a good deal for me. They're building the game with input directly from a huge group of players.
The author whines about the checkpoint system in Alien Isolation. It's kinda the whole point of the game, survival. They aren't spaced that far apart. Hell Dead Space had the same system.
It's really well balanced now but if they wanted to make an easy mode I think reducing the cost of upgrades and boosting the starting stats would probably be enough
Noooooooo
Wow it looks wayyy better than the first in terms of graphics. Must be because there's no last gen version.
@MachuchalBrotha316 it looks like a PS2....
Hmmm more success than anything else they've released on their own hardware..........think about that one nintendo.
With the poop storm that was Destiny, I'm glad they didn't make it. Destiny was like all the rejected Halo ideas in one game.
I guess a script on someone's desk is technically in production.
Played through the tutorial on EA access then deleted it. Terrible game. The mechanics are so stiff and the combat is laughable. The enemies become rag dolls when you hit them.
Such a shame they made this over BL3
How many great third party games were there?
If I can play all the games going forward that I buy on whatever console comes next who cares? People buy $800 phones every two years why not a $400 console every two or three
Borderlands 2 did it without even being asked, and even voiced a eulogy for the fan's funeral in claptraps voice.
This just in, they're showing them how to release games third party :) I kid I kid.
