I disagree with the article. You get a lot for $600. With any new console you have to wait on games. I did with my 360. I had to pay $50 for XBL so let's call it $450. If I got an HDdrvie we would call it $650. The systems are comparable but the PS3 is a better bargain.
It is unfair to compare the 360 and PS3 at this juncture because of the headstart the 360 has. The PS3 always gets compared with the 360 when it came out over a year ago. Compare it to the Wii not the 360.
I agree with #4 and 4.1. This is all good for us. As long as these two giants battle it out we all reap the benefit. I don't want to see either company slow down it's efforts.
Good job 360! Keep up the good work. Make Sony work for our money. I need 360 to keep the PS3 honest so that Hevenly Sword, Motorstorm, and Lair are not just one time wonders but games that spark the imagination of other cool games.

It's good to see that someone is finally, truthfully, stating that its quality over quantity. If a game had one track and it's the best track in the world providing hours of endless fun why would you need 12 crappy tracks with poor AI.

You really could make the same argument about MS. They've already got your money. They don't HAVE to do anything. It's good that both companies do and it's good they have different strategies. End of subject.
I think think that the PS2 and the PS3 stories are quite similar in regards to how devs felt about programing for them. I believe that eventually devs will begin testing the boundaries of the PS3 and turn out amazing games. If the 360 has already been pushed to the limits (I don't think it has) or is close then that doesn't bode well for its longevity.

I think it will come down to wha Tyler said, Sony has to do something that inspires others to want to learn as opposed ot make the sure money. They have to put out something that blows up and has unbelievable success so that everyone wants to get on the gravy train. Perhaps Lair will be that game or Heavenly Sword or a game in the future.

I believe that when the author brought up 1080p and 7.1 he speaking to a small minority of gamers because I would assume that most gamers don't have those luxuries currently. For those that do though it makes gaming that much more immersive. That's on any system not just PS3. I know you know that because I'm assuming you've been to a movie theatre before.
