Imagine on large desert maps, you'd have dinos chasing humvees. In narrow close-quarter maps you'd have raptors stalking players on every street corner. Can you imagine walking down an alley and you'd hear raptors calling out for other raptors, and the sound would echo and linger down the corridors. They could even start off a game by having players transported by choppers to a remote island just like in the first jurassic park.

He doesn't sound like a fanboy. He sounds more like a big fan of Tretton. Now you, on the other hand, sounds like a hater. =/

On the website, they titled the video as "Sony's Last Portable Device". They should really fix that.

I pre-ordered mine for the ps3. I'll get the pc version later when it eventually shows up on steam. PC releases usually go down in price weeks or a few months after release.

There were never "press releases". These websites get their news from Notch's twitter. If you're getting annoyed at all these media coverage, which is very unreasonable of you, go blame it on these game websites. And just get the game out? They need to release the game update by update to make sure bugs are easier to fix. Also, even when do finally leave beta phase and release the full game, there's still going to be regular updates. So, whether or not they get the game ...

SPOLIER

The vault never existed. It was just a ploy to lure mercenaries/hunters to kill a monster that shows up every 200 years. The real question should be is why not just destroy the portal, or if the portal randomly picks a spot, then why not just track it and destroy it? They have 200 years to plan this out. Other than the rushed ending, a huge chunk of the game is wonderful. There was so much possibilities with the storyline that I was disappointed with how it ended. For ex...

I wouldn't even have bought it even with the ps plus discount. With the discount, it comes down to $10 (before the sudden price increase), and I've seen smaller psn games that have more trophies than this game. I wouldn't be surprised if Capcom releases a disc version that includes a full set of trophies, move support, and all (or maybe just some) of the ps2 game modes that they left out. Maybe they'd call it "super resident evil 4 hd". I seriously believe Capcom'...

@lodossrage
I don't see how hackers would be a reason to not have the trophy-Home system to happen. Even right now nothing's stopping hackers from taking Home items. Heck, a few of them already have hacked trophy lists, so does that mean Sony should scrap trophies for everyone? Of course not, and the same goes for the possibility of trophy-Home syncing.

@LOGICWINS
It would also be awesome if, for example, I got a trophy for a certain game, and as a re...

"People get upset when Call of Duty stays the same, but Battlefield is fine if it's the same every time."

Watch the MW3 teaser videos. Then watch the BF3 videos as well. Compare MW3 with MW2 and Black Ops and tell me how much it's changed. Compare BF3 to BF2 and Bad Company 2 and look for the difference. MW3 looks like a Black Ops DLC, while BF3 looks like a completely different game.

"What a stupid response DICE made. If they think 30...

The mandatory installation doesn't take away the fact that with one blu-ray disc you don't have to keep swapping. The installation happens once. Swapping 360 discs happens multiple times. In no way is blu-ray perfect, but it sure is better than dvd.

The article only had 3 short paragraphs explaining why trophies and achievements are pointless.

In the 1st paragraph he says they have no value. In the 3rd paragraph he contradicts himself and says, "I agree that trophies and achievements do bring about more replay value".

"You get a sense of accomplishment for about 30 seconds, and then realize that you spent the last few hours of your life collecting things that ultimately don’t matter."...

I think the word you're thinking of is "exposed". I don't think it has to be a secret for something to be "revealed".

You mean the ones who bought it when it was in beta phase? The beta version cost around $12. That's about $16 less than what the game will eventually sell for when it's finally released, which will be about $28 (t0day's conversion rate). So why are you complaining that long-time minecraft fans aren't getting a better deal, when they've already got the game for more than half off! If you're one of the early adopters, then be very happy with your much cheaper minecraft p...

"You know you're full of yourself when you have to create a convention for your game."

You're missing the point. It's fan service, it's keeping your fan base and community alive and excited. It's also an opportunity for them to promote their games (Minecraft and Scrolls) and company. It's the experience of meeting in person other big Minecraft fans and the people who created it. It's one things to set up a Minecraft website, it's a wh...

He will be renting a huge space somewhere in Las Vegas to host the event. There's also the electric bill and people that would facilitate the event. Bigger conventions attract bigger crowds which then reduces the cost for each attendee. Minecraft would have a much smaller crowd, so it makes sense the cost per person would be higher. And yes, his small company is rich by now... and your point is? They're nowhere near the size of Blizzard, etc. Maybe a company like Blizzard can afford t...
