Lol. A blurry 720p? Lmao. Oh the headlines these days.
Virtual or not immersing is what it's shooting for. The developer is saying it's nowhere close to that.
It's a comment quoted from a developer. It's not immersing you in that environment. That's the whole idea of the device.
I'm gonna describe the virtual boy experience. It's technology that didn't even hold up to vr of its time. So no more comparisons are made. This is my personal experience. I was disappointed in it at the time. PSVR is more similar to advanced technology of its time that we played at malls and arcades. Nothing like Virtual Boy.
Virtual Boy: red graphics. All red. It's sits on a stand is not worn. Immediately taking you out of the virtual experience. The control...
“I think it’s embarrassing that Microsoft has taken such a dishonest approach to introducing Hololens to the world. They are absolutely misleading consumers with the implied field of view which can never be improved,” states Green. “They’re promising the world because they feel left behind with all the current VR excitement, but their product simply has no hope of ever providing the immersion of VR.”
Translation: product is a lame duck already. They are not impressed. Feel it...
Yea some people bring up the Nintendo version. I played it. It was neither virtual or reality. It had red lines blurry graphics. It couldn't be worn. There was no room emersion in the games. I played real virtual reality too. Completely different. Completely immersed. Cost too much to make a home console out of it. PSVR is more advanced than those good versions I played in the malls. Nintendo doesn't even count among the vr headsets of 1996. So they need to do research. Play it. Exper...
Vita was heavily supported. It just lost to a very popular Nintendo3ds. So bad comparison because it just proves handheld became popular. Just not the Vita version heavily supported.
Well finally it's being offered in a acceptable form for many to try. We will see. That Nintendo version of VR doesn't count. I played it and it wasn't virtual or anything close to reality.psvr is the real virtual reality. So it'll be interesting.
When some young gamers talk like this we realized they are not old enough to have used VR yet or simply never experienced it. Nobody ever thought it was niche idea who played it. It just wasn't ready in the late 90's
It'll make a great difference experiencing it.
It'll work. Let's not forget some of these are fanboys trying to fight the Xbox vs PS4 war. However things like this are too exciting and new than to be stopped by a few fanboys of a console.
Just because you own a Xbox with no VR doesn't mean VR won't work. Even those gamers will become curious and want it once it starts doing well..
Well this particular item will be in museums. One day there will be viable holographic technology games everyone plays. The tech still isn't ready for that yet. VR on the other hands technology is already far enough along to make a product the public can back for cheap enough. With VR it was more about processing power, compute that could handle the output into a VR world. With holographic technology it's about much more.
Except that'll be useless to buy Oculus for PS4 players if they already have a PS4. If a person doesn't want to buy a beastly pc to run Oculus Rift as well? Then it doesn't matter.
PSVR is gonna be awesome. This is the best way to play games. Without a doubt. Holographic games would be if the technology was there. Hologram technology isn't there yet. It can't build an entire environment yet for you or produc e believable graphics. It's still a decade away for holograms. VR is ready. The tech has been cooking for decades and now it's ready to be served up to the public. The tech is there now.
It'll be a lot. If you think Vr won't be cheap? This is halograms. Always the most expensive games to play in the arcade. Very small actually going on for the price. Don't expect a full scale with stages gaming environment. The tech isn't cheap unless the quality is. VR on the other hand? That's a bargain if they get it to a few hundred dollars cost.
It's coming. No doubt.
Assumptions much?
Ir love a Killzone remake. Not a prettier version but full remake ground up. The same story expanded on. More newer bosses. Improved multiplayer. I mean full remake like hollywood does movies such as Evil Dead or Superman.
It's two years already. Lol. This is actually a little behind or right on schedule of a price drop.
