I Am Setsuna being made has no impact on the likelyhood of a Chrono Trigger remaster.
Also, as much as I love Chrono Trigger it isn't perfect (it's a 9.9 because of nitpicks). Too many recycled assets is the number one issue, but it has also aged (though gracefully, cracks show) in several ways, notably sound effects. A remaster is perfect for it. Voice acting, orchestral soundtrack, HD anime graphic done by Akira Toriyama, ect, it would be the definitive version! ...
A CT HD Remaster would be awesome.
It's the best 3D Mario game and one of the best overall Mario games. Heck, I'd put it in my top 50 games no problem.

They need to be dirt cheap, and honestly a portable would be more appealing because most people would rather play these on PC. At least handheld has the portability factor.

No, it doesn't need to change, that's what the problem is; it did change. Pokemon post-Gen 2 (G/S/C) is decidedly different in both tone and art style. Not that Pokemon was ever mature, but it was grittier like most things from the 90's kids were into. You'd be hard pressed to find any cartoon for kids as twisted as Ren & Stimpy, any video game as epic and competitive as Pokemon, or any animated dramas with as much quality writing, music, and animation as Batman: The Anima...

I don't mind them fovusing on PS4 Neo and VR. The better they do overall the more chance we'll see a Vita successor, so I hope Neo and VR knock it out of the park so they can risk investment earlier (I think it's inevitable that they try again but the better they do the greater the chance we'll see them look for more ways to expand and handheld is the natural step after dominating the home console and VR markets).

Nintendo fans don't care if they have better hardware or sell more, I agree; I'm a Nintendo fan. What I DO care about, what most non-fanboys do, is if it is ADEQUATE, COMPETITIVE hardware, and sells enough to garner decent (at least NGC level) 3rd party support. Your type gives Nintendo fans a bad reputation, and send a bad message to Nintendo.
