Handhelds are really great and I hope they never disappear. Hybrids should be a goal for companies so we can have both types of consoles around.

Generations is overrated. Colors was the last good Sonic game, frankly, and even then only the DS version.
Sega needs to partner with Nintendo or even Capcom and let tem do Sonic justice. Especially if they do another RPG.
If they do a collection then it better NOT be like Mega Man Legacy Collection; it would need to include every Sonic game, not just a selection of the core series, that's bullshit.
Hell yeah, another for PS4/Vita would be so awesome. Sonic Shuffle 2 would be great, or basically any Sonic spin-off, although I'd be down for a 2D Sonic if they can promise it won't be s*** like Sonic 4 was. I already don't trust 3D Sonic games so don't ruin Sonic's 2D reputation as well, guys...
Also, I think another shot at a Sonic RPG would be a good idea, but don't let Bioware anywhere near it. Let Nintendo do it in the style of Mario & Luig...

This would be a good way to inch him back into the spotlight. A PS4/Vita game would be a good place to start with a reboot, so they can have an excuse to push more copies across two system and hold the graphics back (not go AAA).
$400 is the most they can ask for Neo, IMO. It will just look too unattractive to someone looking for VR to see a PS4 Neo for over $400 and then add that to their cost for PS VR.

Certain RPGs fit handhelds quite well, especially indies. Obviously a mainline Final Fantasy should be on home consoles, but I see nothing wrong with some spinoffs of such a franchise hitting handhelds. In fact, Pokemon Red/Blue just wouldn't have been the same back in the 90's had it been for consoles instead (though Pokemon console games should be a thing as well).
