Good. There should never be a female Link. A female playable character option could be tolerable if she were an original character instead of a mere gender swap. Maybe Linkle or Zelda.
No towns? Might be a deal breaker, sounds like a terrible move. However, the very first Zelda didn't have any towns, IIRC, so it is possible to do it right without them. We'll see how it goes...

Wrong, he looks like a man, not a girl. He isn't terribly masculine but he is not at all feminine, which is a necessary trait for androgyny. He isn't ripped, doesn't have a beard, true, but his features aren't as soft as Zeldas.

I guess we this is it for traditional Resident Evil. We've reach the point where half the core series is not in the style classic fans want. I'm not sure they can or will go back now.
No, it is not awesome that they're still going against what made the originals good. I hope the game is good but it is clear that there is no more Resident Evil as we knew it. This is similar to if Street Fighter 6 went 3D like Tekken. Maybe it would be good but it wouldn't be a real Street Fighter game.

Why wouldn't they make them for handhelds? As long as they have good online and are fun, it's actually really great. It's like asking why Mario Kart or Smash is on portable...why wouldn't they be?
