I dislike it a bit, but I haven't tried to play the whole game thoroughly with it. Then again, I used the hardest to control vehicle in the game with the wheel... Should give it another try with a default kart.
-> off to play a bit more.
EDIT: Oh, and online works perfectly. And the new maps are, well, "new". Nothing too drastic. Slight changes into old maps, so sledges of "halfpipesque" parts of the map can be used to gain a boost.
Played one cup, before had to leave to a party, and it was a solid fun experience. Need to play the whole game thoroughly, though, before surmising how good it really is.
Why? They have a solid working idea, why change it too drastically? If they were to change the makeup of the game, they'd have to do it gradually.
Oh the foaming! Heh. I am mildly amused everytime I hear the common cries of "MIIILKIIING!" sound in the distance...
I still do not understand how it is wrong to market games of different types with same characters, especially since those characters are rather iconic to gaming? It's only good marketing at that point. And cry as much as you want, they are still differing games, or can you say at face value that Mario Strikers and Galaxy are exactly the same kind of game...
Then they should perhaps ship some from Finland to there, then. Finns seem to stick to their PCs rather than to their consoles... Woe upon them? Nahh.
Yes, let's create a peripheral. That isn't packaged in with the console and not the "true" controller to begin with, since do all the games support it? Right. That'll work.
Now women can show men what it feels like to take it up the ass.
Ok, now I can't resist it. They should also then make a game to females as well, and offer certain vibrating qualities... There are videos of people abusing Wiimote in this manner anyway.
How... Bewildering. How annoying. How excruciatingly idiotic. Well, if this is what the masses want, then the masses get.
On the comments... Well, this is a good basis on a boatload of utter garbage. Nothing new there then. Then there are of course some who are wondering why this garbage got through.
It's a blog post. By whom? Why is a blog admitted into news? How is his opinion more worthier?
EDIT: I mean, I'm suddenly seeing his blogpostings as news, and I can't understand why. How has Davin Warner made an impact on the gaming, or on the gaming society as a whole? Is he fully unbiased in his opinions? What makes him to be "the" source of credible truth?
You know, that's why I have a computer. Two, to be frank. So pray tell me, why should I bother with a experience not-so-different from those of earlier generations? Because they look smoooooth? Bah. Whippersnappers oughta go and play good old games, then come back to whine about whatever they happen to whine about.
You fail to see the point, that there are people who just don't care about "teh grapics". You just seem to forget, that if one wants to play a proper game of...
All I can say.. LOL @ #1. Should that come to pass, this site wouldn't exist after that one. 8th was pretty hilarious too. Third comes the Zelda movie and Uwe Boll. I can literally see Zelda fans crying their eyes off, and their noses too... and teeth. And whole face in the end.
There may be a truth to that, but that strategy requires one to have a huge marketshare in general. And by that I mean loads of machines actually sold, something Wii has at the moment. As stupid and unfair it sounds, the strategy Sony has been usin since PS1 has only worked thanks to their leader role in the market.
Also, do remember that PS2 had and has a rather long life. It's library is huge, and most of the people who own it, probably don't even know what all there is to be ...
Can't help but being cynical here...
...wasn't 2008 supposed to be "The Sony Year", straight on from January? This site amuses me rather greatly every now and then, like when articles like this are published, and what the public on this site says prior to this.
I'm sure there is a segment of Wii owners who want those games or have another system to get those games on. But then there is still the much maligned casual gamer segment, which, undoubtetly, won't have anything at all to do with those games. It's a double-edged sword, gaming that is.
Exactly. And that's what some or most of the people on this site either forget or ignore completely.
You know, bootsielon, that fansite thingie was an april joke went awry. Then again, you might've ignored that as well. Who knows?
But it's quite callous to go and say Nintendo doesn't do quality games. Someone seems to have forgotten, that while they have lessened the control on 3rd party games, it seems the Nintendo seal of quality is still ticking inside the company itself. Of course it helps somewhat that it's a strong brand behind the games, but let's face it: Most of those s...
Japan, gotta love the country. Sudden shifts in hardware sales thanks to one game? And these happen quite constantly...
Wii Play, Wii Sports, MoH:H2 with it's control scheme, Excite Truck... They could be played, but they'd lose so much in translation that it isn't even remotely amusing to play them afterwards.
I don't really like the wheel. Or a sole wiimote. I just don't get the good, solid feeling on the cart, since I'm so used to play with an analog stick (what N64?). Once I began using nunchuk and wiimote combination, I've fared a lot better... For example, I had hard time in online with wheel, but with nunchuk and wiimote, I was suddenly winning races.
