Sony nor Nintendo is preventing anything. Playstation and Nintendo sells more consoles so developers makes games for those consoles. Why would japanese developers make games for a consoles that only sales 300 consoles per month?

Battlefield in my opinion was the only franchise that came "close". But even that was still far away from what COD is.
I just hope MS drive COD into the ground and bury it deep before 10 years comes around.

And Sony doesnt owe microsoft to agree with the purchase of these studios. MS had over 20 years to develop great studios and exclusive games... but they are too incompetent to do so. So this give them a right to buy all the successful studios?
Microsoft had over 20 years to develop good studios and exclusives for their customers to find a Playstation alternative... look what happened.
So if you suck at what you do, in Xbox's case, making good quality games. Then you have the right to buy up all the studios that makes great games?
I mean if you look at in a business perspective. COD sells really really well on the Playstation. I dont know if Microsoft would try ruin that... but again, MS dont think about stuff like that.

Show me proof where Sony stop taking 3rd party game away from other platforms? Why would developer spend time and money to optimize a game that wont sell well on a console that wont make them money? Majority of the time when games are released on both consoles, Sony typically outsell Xbox 3:1. 3rd party developers will make deal with parties that benefit them.

I saw the GT7 using PSVR 2 gameplay. It looks amazing. I have the racing setup at home (Wheel, seats and all). Now thinking of buy the PSVR2 to get the trifecta.
That's a good question. Microsoft have talent, that's undeniable. However, if you look back at their history, they were so focused on Multiplayer games, because of course that was all the rage. Microsoft didnt have talent that can create a good story driven game. Sony helped grow their studio to make good story driven games because they know they cant compete with Call of duty, battlefield, Halo, Gears of war, etc...
