Okami was originally released in 2006 on the PS2 and Wii and then remaster on the PS3. THen the HD version was released on the PS4, xbox, and switch. Majority of the people who played it either played it on the PS2 or the PS3 and Wii will most likely wont rebuy the HD version to replay it on the PS4. That leaves the majority of the HD sales to the Switch and the Xbox one.
Why is this a surprise? The reason why the HD version sold more on the Switch is because majority of the gamers already played it before the HD version was released. Plus, the HD version was only available version on the Switch. This game was good, but it wasnt a game that warrants a rebuy to play in HD for the other consoles.
I think the console itself is a marvel. However, the software to showcase the power of the xsx is the disappointing part. Similar to the xbox one X, you had the most powerful console in the world but there were no games to truly show how great the xbox one X could have been.

did i read this right. Xbox series X released in 40 countries and sold about 1.35 million and the PS5 released in 6 countries and sold 1.48 million consoles?
My PS5 was bricked while playing Mile Morales. I mean it was literally bricked. My wife found out i bought a PS5 and threw a brick at my PS5.
Because they use the consoles resources more efficiently. Dont forget, Sony is a hardware company so they know their stuff when designing things.
Seriously, backward compatibility and game pass is a great idea. However, at this point, XbX dont have the content to compete with Sony. The crazy thing is that Sony only have a couple of exclusive out right now. This just prove that XBX is relying on their gamepass more than new content. However, with that said, let see in a year or so to see what their new acquired studios will provide the gamers.
I think the data and what was reported that people’s first choice was the disc version vs the digital version. But if they made 5 million more digital, that would be sold out too.
In short, if there were a surplus of digital vs disc, the disc version would have been the winner.
Some games will do better on PS5 and some will do better on Xbox. It depends on the developers. Lets not bicker about trivial things like this. 2020 is already bad and our country is divided as ever. Cant we just enjoy the rest of the year and the holidays without PS5 and xbox fanboys at each other throats. Just enjoy what ever system you own.
Ebay and Amazon dont care. The bigger the item sold for, the bigger their cut is. WHat needs to happen is either people stop paying these ridiculous prices or Sony and Microsoft make enough consoles to match demands. However, it looks like Sony and MS wont be doing that so its up to the consumers from enabling these kind of activities.
Excuse me while i check Ebay to see if my 10 PS5's and 7 Xbox Series X's have been sold for $1500 each yet.
