I don't understand, what is it that these articles don't get? The architect between this gen vs next gen are totally different. It's almost impossible to add backward compatibility to a console without hiking up the cost. When the ps3 first came out it was 599 people bitch and moan that it was too expensive. Sony remove the bc capability and brought the cost down... People still bitch and moan.
But the poll was taken by gamefly. Isn't gamefly a market for rentals. Wouldn't this skew the data in favor of the ps4.?
I actually use remote play a lot when I travel for work. I usually play bejeweled 2, god of war collection, and recent beaten shadow of colossus on remote play. It gets a little leggy sometimes but all in all it great.
Well these games are older games. I think its about time they drop the prices. In addition, some of these games are offered through PSN plus.

Didn't know servers can do computation. But if it can what happen if your internet down? Can you play said games that needed "cloud compuation" to get the 3x more power performances? What happen if the servers goes down? How will it compute your games? If any computation needed to be done it should be done locally by the console itself. It should not rely on any outside assistant because if something happen to the server or your internet, you can at least play your single player...
3rd party this gen may not see a different, but 1st party there's a big difference.

Your internet goes down your cloud gaming is jacked. Sony have cloud gaming but that's just and option for the ps4, all raw power and computing will be done on the ps4. If ms plan on having thier cloud do all the computing for a game your internet goes down your xbox one is a useless paper weight. The 300,000 server ms mention could be virtual servers and we all know virtual servers are crap.

I guess we need to find out from Microsoft if its a "game console" or a "media console" . If its a game console, it's priority should be games and all other stuff are secondary. If its a media console then the Xbox one priority is not video games. So we need to ask ms what is the the Xbox one?
He's right, cable tv is getting too expensive. Many cable subscriber are cutting the cord and moving onto cheaper means of watching shows through Netflix, Hulu, etc... Depending on Microsoft cable subscription fee they might be in big trouble.
My question is if they do launch early how are the tv and cable services will be implemented? To get tv programming a cable subscription have to be established with the buyer right? Similar to when some one going out and buying a brand new iPhone, you must have a data plan for your phone to work?
I don't think at this point any next gen are even ready to be played.
