Actually, so far i have not had issues with remote play. I live in San Francisco but spend most of my weekends in Monterey. I've been playing shadow of colossus via Remote play. There are lags while playing but nothing that I would considered a deal breaker.
I actually tried it once while i was in Hong Kong, It actually works.
If you going to use the DualShock 4 then why not just play the game on the TV? will you be carrying your PS Vita and a dualShock 4 where ever you go? it doesnt make sense to me.

But how many casual gamers actually spend $500 dollar on a game console??? The Wii benefits from 3 different things.
1. Motion controller was a new concept.
2. The Wii was very cheap compared to the PS3 and the xbox 360
3. It became a fad. The cool thing to have. We all know what happens to things that are "Fad" right? It may sell well in the short terms, but in the long term it wont last.
I guess you havent heard that Sony is trying to develope a disc that can hold up to 300gb of info on a single disc. If Sony is going to invest time on a 300gb disc where you think their stance on full digital lies?
Remember, both companies are investing money into 4K TV and movies. Games will be next. If a 1080p movie is about 15-24gb, what you think a 4K movie will be? How long you think it will take you to download a 200gb movie or game?

In all seriousness. They claim that going digital will make games cheaper, So far that is not true. There are a few problem going full digital...
1. HDD space. Current Gen games are now 5-40gb each and i cant imagine how large next gen games will be but there are not enough HDD space to store all your games.

Vita needs some exclusive games. Im glad this game is also coming to the Vita. But in all honesty, I want the Vita to be successful and in order for this to happen. The Vita need games that you cant get on any other consoles including ps3 and ps4.

My wife would not stop bugging me about helping her with Little big planet for the Vita. She wanted to get all the secrets in the game and it requires co-ops, every day she'll ask me, "do you have time today to help me with LBP?"
Sometime during my down time I would turn on my vita to help her. LOL
My point is, you should convince your friends to get a vita. Its a great handheld, but its even greater when you can connect to your friends on the go.
