2. There are millions of people who owns last gen consoles. Therefore, there are still a big market to have Next gen game released on last gen consoles.
3. If they dont release next gen AAA games on last gen consoles, they will lose lot of money on said games.
4. Chip shortage and people who wants to play next games dont have a next gen console.
Games are getting too expensive to make, Not all games will become successful, and companies are struggling to keep up with the quality and expenses.

Microsoft have deep pockets, for now they can take a lost on AAA games going straight to gamepass. However, I will guarantee you that once they get enough people subscribing. Don’t be surprised they raise the price or have subscriber pay a premium to play new AAA games. Similar to how Disney + charge subscribers a premiums for new marvel movies that goes straight to their services.
People don’t understand that AAA can cost upwards of $150 million to make. Yes Sony and Microsoft may own these developers, but if they don’t make money, these companies will get shut down.

I couldn’t get myself to finish the first game. Not sure why. Maybe the story was not intriguing to me. But again, I might give it another try.
Does it matter if there are warnings on them? Parents will ignore the warnings, buy their kids the violent game, then when they realized the game was violent, they will blame someone other than themselves.
Sony tried BC with PS3 and they found that no one uses It. They made a comment that they’ve gathered the data and I believe it was less than 2 percent of PS3 owners who had BC compatible ps3s used the features. To cut down cost, they decided to remove it from new models of PS3s.
