If it truly works this fast then hot damn MS have nailed kinect integration with their OS. This is the real benefit of kinect not as a controller replacement or extension. Am lazy but I can see myself getting used to voice commands if it works this well.

Oh like how kinect rivals was delayed for XB1..... Oh like the fact that almost every video/demo for a third party game we & journalist have seen has been on PS4. Or like the fact a patch to remove DRM is suppose to take an average of 15-20 mins with no detail info or what else is in the patch.

This thing is no-one knows what exactly is going on enough to comment on the Adam Sessler situation because there is no much conficting info coming out but to say this means Sony is rushing the PS4 launch is quite stupid. On the software side of things I would say there OS game is not up to starch atm but most of the features in the update are online related so it's somewhat under...
The only things you won't get is movie playback (weird) & camera voice commands which can also be done with a mic & gesture control. The rest are online features.
Also i think the update may be available on game disc also as some people pointed out iirc.
So in the end you can still play games as normal which is the primary function of the PS4 the main features promised are mainly related to online so need internet in the first place to function.

Also to note remote download will still work as it's unaffected by suspend/resume not being available at launch.
No one is talking about the CPUs because like you said they are "Jaguar cores" Laptops CUPs. AMD's processors need to be multiple threaded for them to perform well just look at Farcry3, BF3 & some Crysis 3 benchmarks and you will see how well the 8350 keeps up with an i7/i5 in those games because their engines are multi-threaded.

Not too long along iirc were you not a believer in mistermediax and his magical non-existent NDA's that made the XB1 more powerful than the PS4.... It's funny how now the power difference between the two doesn't matter as more things are rumoured & leaked.
At the end of the day the statement is correct as both consoles will provide the same base gameplay experience.

The one the confuses me is movie playback apart from that the rest are understandable as they are online features.
The suspend/resume option is also confusing since this was a big highlight from their reveal.
Those this mean they are not ready for launch? I won't say so completely but it does show that their OS game is not on point as it should. They have shown their hardware is ready, it's software that is lacking a bit atm.
