Loool true that the entertainment provided by them is welcome :p
Fanboys being fanboys :(
"Adam Boyes isn't exactly a neutral voice"
That doesn't even matter.... He's confirming information that someone in his position should know by now seeing how close to launch we are but somehow MS guys (Albert penello, Phil Spencer) don't know. MS were stopping him from saying anything if what he said below is true and not a PR spin again.

@majiebeast
That promotion was probably before XB1 was still under an NDA before it was revealed. Like here --> http://www.youtube.com/watc...
But yh agreed after all this news coming in it is a bit worrying we haven't seen any footage yet.
Yh it's now we can see what was really going on. He was on an adverse PR campaign when he started making comments like this -
"People DO understand that Microsoft has some of the smartest graphics programmers IN THE WORLD. We CREATED DirectX, the standard API’s that everyone programs against."
or
"There is no way we’re giving up a 30%+ advantage to Sony. And ANYONE who has seen both systems running could say there are great looking games on both syst...
Oh shit!!! i loved the campaign brings back sweet PS2 memories....
No it's dragons :p
Great job :)
This is an old devkit OS.... That rumour is relating to what's been worked on now. I have little faith in it because I can't see how MS will mess up their OS and XBL that badly.
It's kindly ridiculous that we have to wait for people to sneakily capture cam footage and not MS or Sony for us to see OS features in action.
All we have seen is old devkit OS footage from both sides (Expect the Gamescom OS tour with Shu) so far can't we have an updated OS tour seeing has we are so close to launch already.
Septic how did you manage to get this without getting caught cause?? I have read some impressions from the Xbox tour saying if yo...
Yep. Depending on what other music services are available at launch it could soften the blow a bit if you can play it in the background for some people.
The only reason I can see why it's not here is that they are working more on gaming stuff first & knowing this they are taking the time to push their media services.
This can be seen with movie playback not being available without the patch.... WTH Sony you have been the format pusher on consoles for ...
Not confirmed.
No that was from famousmortimer & thuway.

Neogaf restored again loool... Now I wonder how much of the other info from the *insiders* are correct.
And it begins....
Heads up-
No MP3 or DLNA support (Thanks gaf for the spotting)..... WTH Sony???? I hope that can be patched in later these are basic media features found on almost every media device today . So no local content playback for anything?. Looks like they are pushing Music unlimited really hard.
Clearly Sony are not looking to compare with MS in entertainment features apart from APPS.
I really do want to see ho...
This is not a review. This is just hands-on.
Products are not officially launched no public/press have seen or used both OS's/features yet.
This is why I hate some tech sites. A hands-on /=/ review.
Not so much with XB1 when the patch arrives as long as they get a 3.0 external HDD speeds should be fine I think. Like GribbleGrunger explained above this is actually not too bad as long as you don't too have much DD content because you can always delete the disc data for one game you haven't played in a while then play your current game without waiting for it to install and repeat that process each time.
Yep the way it's advertised casuals will never know that it's on X360 & PC. This will defiantly sell systems for them. The way EA handled the situation was real shitty however.
Well I take back what I said early it looks like full install for everyone this gen better get that 1TB HDD ready :p
So the confusion was that we thought by caching he meant the data was temporary.
But what he meant was that instead of having to wait for it to install like you do now it is instead done automatically in the background. Which would mean it's caching the data from the disc as you play until it's fully installed.
Is this ...
I feel this is not going to end well for Sony if they continue going along this path in terms of media services. It's BS. Stop trying to force people into signing up for your service it will only have the opposite effect. If you want people to sign up for your service then make it competitive this won't help at all. Also this is the worst kind of announcement they could make after the bombshell from yesterday.
