How can FF13 ruin the series? Isn't every Final Fantasy game just a completely different story that takes place in a similar universe (I assume because chocobos persist)?
It's not like any of the crappy Mario games ruined Mario for me. Just play the ones you want and forget the others exist. Since the storylines are discrete, there's no reason for the entire franchise to be ruined by a few crappy titles.
"don't be so blind."
This is what happens when the education budget is cut. The entire section on facts and opinions was removed.
I have no problem with people who live in poor areas pirating media that they otherwise would not have been able to afford.
It's only when very wealthy people do the same thing that it can be frustrating.
Army of Darkness decided to reply to DarkHollow's comment about how the rumor itself was rubbish, by responding as though the rumor had merit.
It doesn't surprise me he got disagrees because he should have commented directly to the statement that the rumor was BS.
I think the development costs next gen will be high enough without screwing the developer over with complicated architecture.
Yeaaah, so what? Sony did that with the PS3 as well. The chipset kept getting smaller and thus the console was able to use less power, and produced less heat.
You say this like it's a negative. Jeez, talk about the possible lack of exclusives, talk about the questionable manufacturing process at Foxconn, talk about the possible unreliability of the launch SKUs, fine. But don't talk crap about Microsoft reducing the chip size as though it's a bad thing.
Sony outsources, too. Most tech companies outsource their jobs because they seek a cheaper labor source so they can report higher profits. It's a capitalism thing, not solely attributable to Microsoft.
My biggest problem with PS3 fanboys is when they say that 360 gamers have "no games to play."
They're right when they say that the PS3 has more games and better games, is a reliable, more powerful machine, a better value with more options, etc. But when they say that 360 gamers have "no games to play," I don't know, it just sort of raises my blood pressure.
360 fanboys should stop pretending that PS3 gamers can't play multip...
You just said the same thing I said. MS doesn't have to, so they don't.
Every once in a while an opinion piece is approved that will somehow explain something we didn't already know or guess. But really it's the same opinion and the same explanation written by a different user. Perhaps the reason why Microsoft doesn't release a crapload of exclusives every year is because they don't have to. As soon as they have to, they will.
Rockstar showed off GTA 5 before AGENT. That says to me that AGENT is in development limbo.
"you also had to purchase the Wi-Fi adapter separately so that's an extra $200."
Isn't the Wifi adapter 100 USD?
I got my 160 gig PS3 one week before the Slim version was released. That's always bugged me.
Edit: The Slim version was released with a major price drop as well.
"ALSO WHY THE F**K WOULD ANYONE WANT TO STORE THE FAKE BOOKS IN YOUR GAMES? THEY ARE NOT EVEN 12 SENTENCES LONG!"
Now I'm suspicious. Have you actually played any of the Elder Scroll's games? The books are more than 12 sentences long. Many come close to 20 pages in length. Twenty full pages of writing about all sorts of stories.
People seem a little disappointed. It's almost as if they had no other choice. As if they couldn't just, you know, build their own PC now rather than wait 5 or 6 or 7 years to find out what cheap hardware Microsoft is going to be slinging.
"I don't need another console. I'm happy with this one. I'm all about gameplay, not graphics."
*reads rumor on N4G.
"WTF? No. That GPU which is 4 to 6 times mo...
"I wouldn't say a handful, but only a handful work PERFECTLY. It was clearly made with Halo 1/2 in mind. Other games stutter a lot."
I wouldn't know because I haven't tested every game out there. Halo 2 and Kotor worked very well on my 360. As far as your comment that these games don't work "PERFECTLY" on 360, I'm a little confused because even PS3 and 360 games don't run PERFECTLY on their respective consoles.
...
Yeah. That seems to be the mission statement for a lot of people here.
"buy a PS3 and enjoy all the titles you've missed from them over the years. That will keep you going for a while."
You can do the same with 360. If no one owns a 360, buying one now would keep them busy for a couple of years as they got through a large backlog of games.
But I understand that people are always looking for new experiences, and the visuals of great games like Lost Odyssey don't hold up well compared to current games.
I dislike it on principle because Bioware refuses to develop a proper Kotor 3.
"why do people play a sequel to a game even though the original went unplayed?"
Mass Effect 1 is not on PS3 because Microsoft published it.
" i, and many others, keep pointing this out"
Maybe that's the problem to begin with.
There's a lot of pointing fingers from both sides about people playing the sales game.
