FFF XIV...well, it'll probably launch for the PS3 mid to late 2012. Then they'll want to wait a while after that to release Versus XIII.
Honestly, the next set of Pokemon games should concentrate on doing something new and innovative rather than throw a bunch of uninspired monsters our way. Maybe give us a few evolutions or baby forms of already existing Pokemon, but not too many.
I'd rather see a 3D environment, 3D models, better sound effects for each Pokemon, a good and epic story that doesn't just end after beating the Elite Four. Throw some side quests in, maybe some extremely difficult areas, et...

Nintendo isn't ruining anything. Gamefreak are the developers. Anyway, the series has stayed the same since Red and Blue..not much has changed.

If consoles can't match the power of a PC, handhelds won't. The Vita is a powerful handheld (the most powerful yet?), but it's no PC.

It can be a big step up from the current iPhone, but it won't revolutionize anything. There is too much junk in the app store to make the iPhone stand out as a gaming platform, lack of buttons make it hard to play most games, and not being able to tell when games are coming out is a huge annoyance.
I'm not a big fan because whenever a new game gets announced, chances are that it won't get localized.
