Who is? Blizzard? :D
Chance of success near zero, but near zero is not as bad as zero. Hurray for it actually coming to the UK at least.
I think it's going to be great too; right now I'm hoping that there is going to be more technical data to pour over from the upcoming Blizzcon, but for certain the gameplay videos have already showed this game to be highly graphically tuned and finished, and it is probably still more than half a year from being released. Perhaps we're pretty close to seeing what this thing is like first hand very soon.
Pixel Shader 2.0 is not a typo. Pointing to the example given in the article, Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory was a very graphically challenging game of the day and still looks fairly good today, yet its Pixel Shader minimum is only 1.1. I agree Pixel Shader 2.0 isn't impressive, but that's just the bottom end line, some graphical masterpeices like Half Life 2 have far lower base requirements (E.G. no Pixel Shader minimum requirement at all) when it comes to the Shader Model version. As I mention...
Yeah, soon I'll write an article listing good products and models of graphics cards, while there are many graphics cards now that support Shader Model 2.0 many of them are not really up to gaming use, even Nvidia's modern bottom-end and Intel's cheap office solutions often have SM 2.0 support for some reason beyond me but they won't be playing the game nicely.
Thank you for your appretiation :) Indeed I think DirectX 10 mode will be gimmick-y really and truely, even early this year they didn't know if there was going to be one when interviewed, now it looks as if there is going to be one but it is clear that it has just been pasted onto the proper base of the game effects; doesn't mean it'll be rubbish but it probably is going to be less developed and well done than the actual effects they've been working on for over four years as opposed to last m...
Frank Pearce....he's been getting tons of interviews recently yet he has unique stuff to say.
I feel that you are correct. Big prestigious titles are always deployed for effect.
LOL at the person who 'disagreed' with you. what, they think they know better and you haven't downloaded+installed Spore? :D Amazing.
patches = good. I always like having to adapt my playstyle to changes.
I prefer my chips served in newspaper, with a dash of salt actually. If they've ended up on your shoulder, you've just missed your mouth :D
I agree, this art direction thing is just banged on about too much. blizzard haven't exactly done badly with their previous attempts to be original, so let them at least get the product out. If it flunks, you can point and say "We told you so" then, but somehow I doubt that will happen. Maybe they're include three graphical settings: High, Low, and Whiner; to satify the three apparent groups that will be playing the game.
This sounds like the Tomb Raider/Eidos/Core Design thing all over again, which can be good but can also be very, very bad. The guys at Ensemble didn't deserve this though, they were actually doing a good job, unlike the last Tomb Raider game Core Design made before Eidos hit the roof and effectively destroyed them.
I like the whole "not needing to gather up half an avenue's worth of people to visit the place" angle. Make it so Number One! :D
I'm glad to see many of the old boss routines were back. Too few, including me ever saw the majority of them, so having some of them back feels like much less of a waste, able to actually journey through the place and experience it properly rather than the very limited timeframe it had first time around.
It's the Inquirer....Everyone knows they're full of garbage. Stories are often without basis and wrong. http://www.theinquirer.net/... They told us that AMD had Reverse Hyperthreading technology, just a BIOS update away on existing chips at the time, it's been over two year and no sign of that magic update...
They're full of tripe and do thier best to ...
I like this article, it kept me laughing, and I now know the title of one more game I'm never going to touch.
I doubt we'll see a demo before launch. The Warcraft 3 demo came over six months after the game's launch, making it mildly pointless. It'd be nice if Blizzard actually did this, but they'll probably not if their track record is anything to go by.
Now this is cool news :D Thanks for bringing it to our attention, we love it when the sources around Blizzard start leaking more information than Blizzard themselves are.
Making money off illigal bots = good
