Yeah, I've been bit by DRM on legitimate media turning around and harassing me for no good reason. Anything that damages the usability of the legally-buying public (not to mention absolutely failing to stop piracy, in some cases even inspiring it, such as no-cd-check hacks) is just dumb, hasn't worked in the last twelve years of trying, and shouldn't take another twelve for them to learn that it is effectively useless and counterproductive to engage in.
Kalos here; just thought I'd drop by and state that I think these specifications are legitimate, unlike three weeks ago these are actually possible (as opposed to impossible!). They also happen to be probable and inline with the expectations I have been forecasting for years in the Kalos Chronicles. Glad to see that I'm not far off the mark, as ever.
"Too bad it's made by Microsoft"
I find it funny when fanboys tie themselves into knots, knowing that something is actually good and wanting to recognise that, but stuck on the compulsion that they have to hate it as it is from MS/Sony/whoever.
If someone were to extremely enjoy a fine meal, but complain and create a tantrum that it was made by a black person, they'd be imprisoned for racism, quite rightly. I wonder why we prosecute one kind of prejudic...
Well I've seen rumours of more leaks and accidental slipups on their site, I've beginning to suspect they are doing it on purpose to get some media attention and tension before the Beta unveilling. Very sneaky of them.
That Kalos and this Kalos is the same. Bubbles if you agree? :D
Indeed; I was just suprised nobody raised the fact before that the Geforce 2 doesn't even support what we've been told time and again to be the bottom line. The poor card is toast!
Where Work meets Gaming.
Wish I had the time; got work to do for the next two weeks. :P
That is pretty big. Finally people can actually defend without losing out for the game-mechanic recognisation of the acheivements of taking flags, driving players to simply not bother defend at all and thus losing what they had already gained.
It is indeed about time
Very cunning indeed. At least it is supporting a good thing: Education. And hopefully there is going to be a very happy collector at the end of the day. I prefer Warcraft 2 merchendise myself :)
Indeed the speed is stunning. I've stuck with XP on my main PCs, but some of my lesser used PCs and relatives have Vista, I've also played about with Windows Seven. I've been impressed by all three in thier own way, but Vista was slower than both of them and I had to uninstall the entire OS twice due to it consuming a driver for a product making it unstable and simply being unable to yank it out any other way that wiping it. Not that I haven't seen XP having fruity driver moments, but it anno...
Indeed. I saw it as not wanting to commit themselves to supporting until it has been tested through and through on at least the Release Candidate to know that it'll work without problems, but they'll be doing everything they can (and shouldn't take much effort if any as the article explains) to make sure that Starcraft II works not just with what we have now but what is going to be the mainstay of OSs in the very near future.
Iknow what you mean. Nothing like booting up Xcom or Monkey Island One even on Windows Seven Beta just to enjoy the good old times.
Thank you. I'm glad of the praise. Should be fun to see how things pan out in the end of it all when the game is released, but I'm happy Xordiah didn't yell and throw stuff at me when I asked her for her help :D Fact for the all: Don't upset your Blizzard Rep, feed them chocolate instead!
I did what I could with this article, sadly I'm pressed for time with other things right now. Hopefully this helps a great deal of people, its why I think up and write these things.
Oh well. Better luck next time.
Neither, they're just taunting us
This does indeed look bad :(
I'll miss it at least.
I remember playing Warcraft II over IPX networking, a real pain but possible.
Seems a bit of a dry spot to me. Sorry about that...
